minima moralia formed in 2001. Two music teachers met in the hall of a now defunct music store in Salt Lake City, Utah. The concept was to create a band that was not concerned with the game of becoming poser MTV wannabe hacks, but one who created art for the fun of laughing and awareness of their own disposability. No grand illusions of super importance or world changing messages, or any hope of originality. Just the ability to make lots of money and have thousands of adoring fans, especially of the female variety. We wanted lots of beautiful women to worship our heavenly sounds and hang out backstage with us and discuss philosophy, music, and life while sipping tea and honey. We don't want groupies, but nimble minded consumer junkie sycophants that hang on every word spoken. So they can use them against us in anti-minima moralia protests, that include burning our albums and defacing effigies of us, while blaming us for the evils of the world. We want to hit "target" audiences and demographics that come to our shows and yell at us to play the really good stuff (like they play on the radio,) such as nickelback, creed, and FREEBIRD! We want to make Myspace pages that talk about how close we are at getting the BIG RECORD DEAL with more pictures of our insolent pouty faces.(Like the one posted) Most of all we realize that we have no chance of success and will continue to eat Top Ramen but we will always enjoy bringing you the world's finest cheese.
