About Me

I don't use myspace these days, find me on facebook though
Tra for now...

I hope you love the profile song, funniest noise I've heard for years.
Despite the fact that 98% of people who visit a myspace page make their mind up about a person in just a few seconds, I'm going to say hello to the 2% that are willing to restrain that back button for a couple of extra minutes...
I'm James, otherwise known as Bix.
Pressed back yet?
Obviously not then. Well as much as I'm not a self obsessed or absorbed person, this bit is entitled "About me" so i think I'm allowed..
II work as a Freelance Lighting Designer/Technician under the guise of Basic Monkey Limited, which I love. However it does take a fair bit of time and for some bizzare reason people want their events at the weekend which means I can't have my play time!
When I do get to play I try and get myself out on my bike or to the gym, or down to the studio to TRY and make some music (not been very successful at that though yet). If I'm granted an evening off (and the following day), I'll try and get off to a discotheque and party with my chums.
I'm a geek and proud of it, I can gurantee I'll find something interesting that you don't.
I love snowboarding, I am a qualified instructor CASI Level 2, I try and get to Canada whenever I can. Oh and getting away is always good. If I could, I'd board all the time.
I love a challenge but hate an effort, the difference? Well I like to see a challenge as something that you can work at and gain benefit either through the experience or the end result. An effort? That's just when something is made hard for no good reason, especially when it comes to communicating with people. (Namely some of the girls that I've met!)
I love learning. I'll never be 100% satisfied until I know how everything works, how everything got there and how everything will turn out. I'm always finding interest in new things, where others wouldn't. Never take things for granted.
From above, I can't stand ignorance. People who live by "Whatever" or "Don't care". Grow up.
I admire creativity and abstract thought. The wipers on my car stop in a slightly different place each time so that they don't leave a mark, someone sat down and came up with that, I'd like to shake their hand. Things like that, that most people would never notice, but the creator can go home proud, I love.
I love intelligent, witty and poigniant graffiti. Pictures-of-walls is a great example. It demonstrates where someone has walked past something and seen an image there, and just had to express it. I admire it because in a way I'm a little jealous...
I've always been a great understander, but never great at creating. Or maybe I haven't found the right inspiration yet!
I can't stand permenantly negative people, especially those who have nothing to be negative about. If you have something wrong in your life, fix it or get over it. Your life is made up of new experiences and challenges, don't dwell on the problems and past or moan about them 24/7. I'm not naive or stupidly optimistic, but there are normally positives you can find and there is often a way to fix or heal problems. You'll be a better person if you find them.
I love food, Spinnach is the best veg by far, eat bags of the stuff. Favourite food overall is Indian, Current favourite is Apna Style Chicken Tikka Saag. Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Always enjoy cooking.
