dancing (ballroom, swing, and freestyle), bridge (the card game with all the old people), speech and debate, modern art, philosophy, drinking with good friends
I have too many friends as is. I just want an easier way to maintain relationships. However, I'd like to meet anyone that truely stands up for what they believe in.
I like most genres of electronic dance music, in particular DJ Venom, Kid Icarus, Judge Jules, Diesel Boy, DJ Irene, Spacegirl, Johan Gielen, and ofcourse DiscoJelly. I am equally into big band and swing music; especially Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington. If I am drinking with friends then it is classic rock and heavy metal; Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues, Styx, Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC, and ofcourse Lynard Skynard. But for right now I am really digging Scott Brown!
Army of Darkness (or any cheesy movie with Bruce Campbell), Apocalypse Now, all Stanley Kubrick films, all Martin Scorcese films, Quentin Taratino films, Easy Rider, Ben Hur, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and a very strange movie called Quintet with Paul Newman.
CNN, Boston Legal, Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica (original and new series), Star Trek Next Generation, Married w/ Children, Simpsons, Family Guy, All of Adult Swim, Smallville, Doctor Who, most British comedy found on PBS, and ofcourse Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT...VEGETA FTW!!
anything written by Ayn Rand (especially The Anthem and Fountain Head) and John Rawls, The Gay Science, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter series, Stranger in a Strange Land, Catch 22, Brave New World, 1984, The Killer Angels, Catcher in the Rye, A Man for All Seasons, and Dreamland
Judge John Bork: 1987 Senate confirmation hearing of Judge Bork for a seat on the Supreme Court: Every single question the senators asked Bork, he gave 100% honest answer. He did not play the political game at all, even though it was political suicide. He could have easily played the game and won a seat. Even though this is the aspiration of every judge, he would not sacrifice his integrity to do it. He never sold out. I admire his strength of character. America needs less sports heroes, and more heroes that exemplify self reliance and integrity.
