now, what i mean to say when i say soulrocker, is not that i play soul and rock music, but that i want to rock your soul. besides, my music is deeper than soul-rock, so i wouldn't want to categorize it that way. my music is not religious, but at times there is spirituality in it (not to be confused w/ spirit, which is always there). i have been writing songs and singing them for a while now. i play a few different instruments (bass, keyboards,+ guitar). and my music is a mix of soul, funk, rock, a litlle bit of country, a little bit of punk, and a little bit of psychedelia.
but, more importantly cat's and kitties, i want to bring a new kind of music to the world. a music for the masses, but still a little left field. i hope you all will enjoy the offering. i am currently completing a full-length follow up to "THE WHOLE LOVELY...". it is currently untitled. i have decided not to name the baby until it's born. she's due in June.
you may notice, i said "I". as in, i am solo. well, sort of. the band and i decided to drop the band name (M.A. & FunKgLOVe) to eliminate the confusion between KOKO BOOM and FunKgLOVe and also because i selfishly crave the limelght. but, basically most things are still the same. KOFI is still my main man and he's still on drums. HODARI is still ticklin' ivory. also comprising the band are OUMAR DIALLO and DAMIAN ANDERSON on bass and guitar.
LOVE TO ALL OF THE BANDS AND ARTISTS FROM THE DC/MD/VA AREA. i was going to name a bunch but it's late and i'm getting tired of this typing shit. so, y'all be cool and get ready for the summer. i think it's gonna be hot!
