About Me

From London decades ago. Anarchist/Atheist by nature, with the accompanying mistrust of unearned authority, but as I mature like fine wine, *cough cough*.. never mind, moving on.
Have a disgraceful and slightly twisted attitude towards life, but somehow have managed to survive well, even though the 'phase' I was going through, shows little sign of abating. I live on a houseboat in Key West, but I find myself dreaming lately of moving back to London. Those thoughts however, are fading, but they do tend to get a tad stronger during hurricane season.
I have always had a deep rooted love of physics, but lost the ability to fully understand it several theories ago. Rabidly anti-religion, and anti-Bush.
Creative and bored, an occasionally dangerous situation but usually only for me.
LOVE Breaks and Beats, but my old punk soul is still at work pointing me towards loud, obnoxious rock... and the ex DJ in me is yelling TECH HOUSE IS IT MAN!

The Americans will always do the right thing... after they've exhausted all the alternatives. -- Winston Churchill
Innit. :)

My Interests

Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind....All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. -Thomas Paine, American revolutionary.

“If we believe absurdities, we shall commit atrocities.”
~ Voltaire

I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.-- John Cage

Global Warming? No Worries.

"In some ways she was far more acute than Winston, and far less susceptible to Party propaganda. Once when he happened in some connection to mention the war against Eurasia, she startled him by saying casually that in her opinion the war was not happening. The rocket bombs which fell daily on London were probably fired by the Government of Oceania itself, 'just to keep people frightened'. This was an idea that had literally never occurred to him." - George Orwell, 1984

The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who, in times of moral crisis, preserved their neutrality. -- Dante

A true patriot will defend his country from its government.
-- Thomas Jefferson

"The essence of Christianity is told us in the Garden of Eden history. The fruit that was forbidden was on the tree of knowledge. The subtext is, All the suffering you have is because you wanted to find out what was going on. You could be in the Garden of Eden if you had just keep your fucking mouth shut and hadn't asked any questions." - Frank Zappa

Movies:

October 17, 2006: The Day America Died and King George was Crowned.
This is quite possibly the most important news report of our generation. On October 17, 2006, President George W. Bush signed the Military Commissions Act of 2006, which does away with Habeas Corpus and makes it perfectly legal for the government to secretly arrest any American citizen, strip him of his citizenship, hold him indefinitely without charges, try him in front of a military tribunal, and execute him in secret. This is sad, sad day for our country. Shame on all of us for letting this happen. With the signing of this act, the President has granted himself the powers of a dictator, courtesy of the U.S. Congress, and the zoned-out couch potato population of America.
