About Me

Elisa --

[noun]:

A real life muppet

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com(Answered in the form of stream of consciousness): I can be a bit neurotic at times, but I like to tell myself it's endearing. I tend to be a bit "thin-skinned." I'm a fiercely loyal friend once you're in the "inner circle." There is no inner circle. I love being a child and family therapist. I love hearing other people's stories- I think it's a privilege to do what I do. I think my husband is wicked awesome. I adore my children. I don't like the sound of papertowel being rubbed against dry skin. I recently discovered that I'm an "extra-ice" kind of person. I can go a bit overboard with the sarcasm sometimes. ..This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor MySpace Profile Editor

Take this quiz at QuizGalaxy.com

I'd like to meet:

David Lynch. I've got some spectacular stories to pitch to him.

Music:

The Shins, The Cure, Bauhaus, The White Stripes, The Arcade Fire, Justice, The Rapture, Hot Chip, Ratatat, Modeselektor, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Midnight Juggernauts, Komputer, Blonde Redhead, This Mortal Coil, Beastie Boys, The Stone Roses, Ian Brown, Charlatans UK, The Smiths, Morrisey, Daft Punk, Fischerspooner, Modest Mouse, Clinic, Johnny Cash, Beck, Peter Murphy, Radiohead, The Velvet Underground, BS2000, Joy Division, New Order, Deathcab for Cutie, Stellastarr*, Gorillaz, Front 242, Thrill Kill Kult, and early Prince.

Movies:

I like movies with vampires and movies with gladiators, which makes my taste in movies equivalent to that of a 12 year-old-boy. I absolutley hate, no DETEST!, any movies dealing with romance, love, or relationships.

Television:

Twin Peaks was the greatest television show of all time. I have issues with being able to move on, apparently...I love The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I'm horribly into The Soup and Best Week Ever, or as I like to call it, "brain crack." I've recently gotten into "Flight of the Conchords," as well, which is brilliantly funny...

Books:

I love to read books of facts and irreverant knowledge. You end up quoting all sorts of weird crap in the midst of normal conversations. Now that I'm 32, I feel I can embrace all of my geeky qualities and term them "quirky" rather than "dorky." Speaking of which, my new favorite magazine is "Mental Floss" and everyone should go out and buy a copy and read it immediately.

Heroes:

Strong women who paved the way for me to be able to live the life I do. Anyone willing to stand up for what's right, particularly when it involves the rights of children.
