Haters Keep Hating! It Adds Fuel To The Tank!
Marvin Smack, a.k.a. Lev Purple, a.k.a. Olde Franklin, a.k.a. Sir Charles, a.k.a. Escobari, a.k.a. Sylvester Unkis, a.k.a. R. EZ was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan prior to moving to Farmington Hills. He first discovered his love for rap music in fourth grade when the Wu-Tang Clan released their album "36 Chambers." Constantly getting into trouble, Marvin Smack never was one to conform. At the age of fourteen, while attending North Farmington High School, he exposed his business mentality and natural entrepreneurship. He began bootlegging CD's and selling them at school, carrying over 100 CD's in his backpack everyday and usually leaving with none. Around the same time, drugs came into the picture and his priorities began to change. At fifteen, Lev Purple moved to Sedona, Arizona and went to a boarding school. He was expelled a year later for transporting illegal drugs. He then moved back home to Farmington Hills and attended Harrison High School. Six months after, he was relocated to a facility in Houston, Texas where he was incarcerated for over sixteen months. This is when Olde Franklin began freestyling every chance he could in order to pass the time. Upon his release, Sir Charles faced many legal problems regarding his drug use and distribution. At the same time, he was going to various studios as frequently as possible to record his music. He formed his own record label and is now the CEO of Rehab Records. He works with various studios in Michigan but he primarily records at Halfway to Eight studios in Royal Oak. Escobari has consistently been able to maintain approximately 500 plays per day via Myspace. He released his first official mixtape entitled "Rehab Records Presents Straight Outta Rehab Vol. 1†which was hosted by DJ Young Mase. In October of 2007, Sylvester Unkis' mother tragically passed away of brain cancer. R. EZ's extensive legal record never stopped him from achieving his goals and only made his career and his aspirations stronger. Being in and out of jail gave Marvin Smack time to concentrate on writing tracks for future releases. He now rents out nightclubs and venues and is one of the major party promoters in the Detroit area. Lev Purple is working on his second official mixtape: "Straight Outta Rehab Vol. 2: Rise of Escobari" and his first major album entitled "The People Vs. Marvin Smack." In addition to music, Olde Franklin is preparing to release his clothing line. He is also an actor who is working on two movies and his own DVD, which will soon be released. AIM Screename: Bladerzblow
