About Me

Erdos Number:3 I was once hit by a truck while riding my bike on fifth ave in New York City. I once beat a Russian at Chess. I once ate 12 soy dogs in one sitting. I pierced my ear when I was 10 which I thought made me look tough, but now that I look at pictures I realize that it made me look like a girl. In middle school I was impressed by guys who could grow mustaches. I work in a laboratory that has no chemicals or microscopes in it. I once took a class in highschool designed to teach low intellegence kids how to work in the real world by teaching them how to fill out job applications and how to show up to work on time. The secound half of the day we got to go work in the real world. I thought that this class would be a breeze, but I got a D after getting fired from my job. I live in NYC, I am a grad studnet and I'm always broke.

My Interests

Im loosing interest

I'd like to meet:

People of substance. I don't think being pretty is an accomplishment.

Music:

Danzig, Mars Volta, Vietnam, Kathy Tag, Pelican, Falloutboy, Antony and the Johnsons, Daniel Johnston, Racetraitor, Kill the Slavemaster, Bionic Rat, Her Beautiful Scientist, Punchline, Arma Angelous, Rise Against, Every Time I Die, Give Up The Ghost, Suicide File, Earth Crisis, Raid, Hope Conspiracy, Nick Cave, Micheal Jackson, R Kelly, Stevie Wounder, Isis, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, Dag Nasty, Bad Brains, Johnny Cash, Damnation AD, Joy Division, and forever 108 over Resurrection though both bands are untouchable, Aaliyah, stevie Wounder, The Fire Theft, The Stone Roses, The Velvet Underground, Mars Volta, Holy Roman Empire, The(love)Movement, B Team Scenesters, Not Enough Gold, Nude Celebs, EL Hinkley, Swing Kids, Catfish Haven

Movies:

Seven Samuri, Willard, Apocolypse Now, The Great Escape(my all time favorite movie) and Cool hand Luke, V for Vendetta, 1984.

Television:

I don't own a tv

Books:

I think that my favorite book is "Walter Benjamin: Story of a Freindship" Gershem Scholem, Walter Benjemin, Lucaks, Roland Barthes, Franz Kafka, Satre(I feel like a tool writing this, but I recently read a book by him on Anti-Semetism which I thought was really smart) James Joyce(I like "portraite", anyone who says that they liked reading Ullyses is lying or psychotic. I don't believe that it was written to be read, but rather to push the bounderies of the art form), Vladamir Nabakov, Cornel West, Hilary Putnam, Paul Riccour, Sigmound Freud(no one ever reads him, but everyone thinks they are an authority) , Ludwig Wittgenstien, Franz Fannon, Wilfred Bion, Harry Stack Sullivan, V.S. Nipal,Judith Butler, Sir Arthur Canon Doyal, Donald W. Winnicott, John Bowlby, Martha Nussbaum, Amertya Sen, DeadXStop Fanzine, assorted chess books. I'm currently reading "Archive Feaver" by Derrida, and it just jumped to my top ten list. Anyone want to talk about it? These are some of my favorite authors and thinkers. Truth is, I read a lot, and I really like talking to people about what they read. Though I'm a grad student in psychology, I'm real unimpressed with the liturature coming out of my field, so I mostly read other stuff.

Heroes:

Rabbi Akiva. The defining event of both Christianity and Judaism was the destruction of the Temple. Jesus dealt with this event by creating a really boring apocolyptic cult, Rabbi Akiva dealt with this event by creating more occations to hang out at your parents house and have your mom cook for you.
