Megasoid is a remix-soundsystem and live-PA type thing based in Montreal, Canada. We have thrown some serious parties in clubs, lofts, galleries, kitchens, rooftops, parks and from our van. Our usual MO is to put top shelf street-bass / rap / reggae / electro shit on smash mode @ The Coda Social Club every fourth saturday of the month. We are currently getting the logistics of Europe, T.O, NY, SF and LA sorted as well.
We mostly make glitchy hiphop bangers and destroy songs that you might recognize, but also keep it tripping balls on the regular. We frequently play/kill/level shows with electronic dudes such as Ghislain Poirier, GlitchMob, Lazer Sword, Ghosts on Tape, Blingmod, Deadbeat, Holy Fuck, Lorn, Mofomatronix, Modeselektor, Kid Koala, Lunice, Daedelus, Nosaj Thing, Machinedrum and Mouse on Mars but also have been known to go dumb with club folks like Plastic Little, Thunderheist, DJ Medhi, Drugmoney Dudes, The Cool Kids, Jokers of the Scene, South Rakkas Crew, Bonjay, PeerPressue, KOPS, Scratch Bastid, Etc. We let non-rookie dudes come rock at our nights... even when we get too-blacked-out to play, our taste in 'residents' usually better better than theirs in 'headliners'. You should come get stupid with us.
We have some remixes (peep the unmixed Thunderheist one on the Tank Thong Mix!) dropping through summer and fall, and are down to remix your joints (provided your songs don't suck) in exchange for brown gucci print, red lambrettas, blue mustangs with white shelby stripes, gold bars or green cash.We have our own PA that will make your neighbors real mad and can DJ as well as we rock production. We ain't rookies. We have been doing this for more than a minute. We will come rock your house or loft or whatever, get at us if you wanna do it big.
