I am here for Friends

About Me

I like science, beer, music, Jack Daniel's, literature, chess, stand-up comedy, and a lot of other things. I have a B.A. in psychology and a B.S. in zoology and I don't use either. I'm a bit eccentric and I sometimes smoke a pipe to relax. One final note: I never have and never will select a top 8 or 12 or whatever. Please don't take it personal, but I've actually heard of people getting into arguments about it. So my top 8 are the eight people with the oldest MySpace accounts which is the default setting.
Take the quiz:
WHAT RELIGION BESTS SUITS YOU?

Category Unknown
You don't fit into any of the above categories, so perhaps before you get angry or confused, check what other religion(s) you scored the highest on. For example, you might be a Christian-Pagan, or a Discordian-Wiccan. Just use a bit of logic. However, according to this test, you're simply 100% YOU. You don't fit into any of the world's boxes.

You Are From Uranus
You shine with brilliant creativity, and you're more than a little eccentric.
You love everything unusual and shocking. You're one far-out dude.
Anything unconventional excites you - and you have genius potential.
Just don't let your rebel side get the best of you, or else you'll alienate everyone.
Your original thinking and funky attitude is all you need to be you. What Planet Are You From?

My Interests

I'm interested in the creation of the universe, but I don't believe in the Big Bang. I'm trying to become a beer connoisseur. I like to watch stand-up comedy, because that is where some of my abstract thoughts of my world come together with the real world. I'm interested in learning how to cook more than the few things I have in my repertoire (although I make a kick-ass sauce and a mean baked ziti). I'm interested in zoology, or even biology in general. I like physics, and I'd like to learn more. I also like museums, and yet I rarely go. I can't list everything, because I have many varied interests. I'm somewhat like a Jack of all trades, but unfortunately I am master of none.

I'd like to meet:

I have a bit of a negative outlook on people in general, so I don't think I want to meet anyone. But if I already met you and you want to add me, simply write to say "Hey, it's me from (blank). Add me." I just had to change my settings to avoid all of the friend requests from the webcam retards.

Music:

Pink Floyd, Primus, Radiohead, Nirvana, Tool, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Mudhoney, The Misfits, Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Franz Liszt, Chopin, Bach, Pachelbel, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, A3, King Crimson, Squirrel Nut Zippers, NIN,... I have a large collection of music and I can't list it all. But from the bands listed, you can see that the trend is mostly rock with some jazz and classical thrown in. And this:

Movies:

Dead Poets' Society, Boondock Saints, Any Mel Brooks film, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, Naked Gun, PCU, Leonard Part 6, City Slickers, Mars Attacks, The Rock, Indiana Jones, Star Wars

Television:

I have hundreds of channels and nothing is good. Well, I can't really say that. I like a lot of the shows on the National Geographic Channel. I also watch the Seinfeld reruns, Family Guy, War at Home, occasionally Myth Busters, but there aren't too many shows that I like.

Books:

Moby Dick, War and Peace, The Castle, Atlas Shrugged, The Glass Bead Game, Brave New World, Hamlet, Dracula, Crime & Punishment, Inherit the Wind, Relativity, Origin of Species, The Great Gatsby and a bunch of chess books.

Heroes:

Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Emmanuel Goldstein and the animated things in this video
