He has developed his own take on electronic music which brings Jazz influences together with more electroacoustic compositional approaches, ideas from dance and industrial musics, and improvisation. His influences are as diverse as Miles Davis, Harry Partch, Throbbing Gristle and Jeff Mills.Superimpozer has been playing many gigs around the UK in recent months, including a set at 'Digital Bricks' at the Spitz, which also featured Mira Calix and dDamage, aswell as dubiousaudio and machine.records nights. He has released the Psy-Ops EP and an album, Lines Of Flight, both on the rather excellent machine.records. His second full length album Thought Fungus is now available on dubiousaudio. He is also working on various soundtrack work, including the music and sound design for a documentary/ art film about London, which involves poetry set to images and sounds from the city.Superimpozers music has been played on Mary Anne Hobbs' show on BBC Radio 1. BBC Radio 3s 'Mixing It' show, on Resonance FM and on the international radio show The Selector. A Superimpozer track was also selected for the Demo Archive section of the the FatCat website and is now available to download from there. Rowan likes Ghoulash and hates loud railway announcements.
