About Me

I guess it's high time that I filled this thing in more substantially.

I still love good jazz, good liquor, good cigars, good books, sleeping late, games, and New York. What I forgot to mention is that I'm a swell guy to boot. I'm out of Real Estate, and working in booze. Yeah, I know.

So, I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan, and I'm around most of the time, so drop me a line if you want to hang out. We're always awesome.

And seriously, what's up with people who don't put anything under books? I weep for posterity.

My Interests

Nothing that interesting, really. I play a lot of pool, I play a lot of board games, I read a lot, and that's basically it. I take both drinking and smoking very seriously, which is to say that i'm an educated and frequent enjoyer of both, and I have little patience for those who take them lightly. No TV, don't see a lot of movies, don't listen to current music... I'm basically your average pop culture illeterate. I make good chili, though, and I have a fireplace, so I'm probably the coolest guy from the 40s that you know.

I'd like to meet:

Maybe you!

Music:

Sinatra, Coltrane, Davis, Ella, Billie, Verde, TMBG, Metallica, NIN, KMFDM, Louis Prima, Willie, Waylan, Coe, Cash, Steppinwolf, Cream, Skynnrd, Hair Metal and Meat Loaf. Yeah, seriously.

Highlander, Godfather I and II, Braveheart, Porky's, The Professional, The Prophecy, The Man Who Would Be King, Zulu, The Italian Job, Split Second, Dinosaur Island, Doctor Strangelove, Nosferatu, Mr. Roberts, High Plains Drifter, The Outlaw Josie Wales, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Casablanca, Wall Street, Desperado, From Dusk to Dawn

Don't own one, actually, but I've heard good things.

Books:

Hemingway, Faulkner, Ford, Fitzgerald, Elrod, Collins, Elliot, Jordan, Salvatore, Conrad, Greene, Dick, The Bible, Buroughs, Moore, Gaiman, King, Twain, Stevenson, Bourdain, Shelly, Bradbury, London, Blake, Keats, Coleridge, Frost... If I bothered to write the titles, it would crash this server.

Heroes:

Hemingway and Sinatra, mostly, but anyone who can shoot cross-table masse reliably runs a close second.

My Blog

First time for everything...

So, yeah. I've never done this before. And it's about food and restaurants, or the lack thereof, I might say. So, drunken revelry aside, Passover is an irritating holiday. I know that's the point, and...
