My garden growing stuff is pretty satisfying, last year I grew all sorts of veg and the hottest chillis I've ever tried! I love cooking, it's probably one of the only things that chills me out for some reason (other than a huge glass of wine)!! I know I really shouldn't blow my own trumpet but I'm a great cook! Love having random parties, tend to have a lot of parties in fact I'm going to have another one soon!! We got a huge gas barbeque as a wedding present so no doubt we will be having many bbq parties even in the winter!
I'd like to meet:
Have met Biffy, well Si and Ben twice n James once, of course I'd like to meet them again, they were really spot on!! I probably came across as a total arsehole but on each occassion I'd had a good few grown up beverages and was slightly excited (not a good combination for me as I get incredibly hyper and loud).Have met Jamie from Reuben too, he is probably one of the most sound people I have ever met ever! He chatted away to us for a while and listened to me blabbering shite about chips and how hungry I was and tryin to teach the support band how to speak in an Inverness accent (well they did ask)! He was just such a cool bloke. So I would like to meet him again.Who else, Keith Moon (obviously not possible), Kurt Cobain (again can't see that happening!), Dave Grohl, Gordon Ramsay, Jack Black, Johnny Depp, Victoria Beckham for no other reason than I would love to punch her right in the face for being a total fanny!! At the moment I can't think of anyone else but I'm sure that'll change soon enough!!!!
Music:
Guess what? I'm quite fond of Biffy! I've loved them for years and it's great to see them getting somewhere lately. Have seen them loads of times (11 to be exact) now they are definitley the best live band I've ever seen!!I like The Music too, met them after their Inverness gig a couple of years back, they were really sound blokes even though I was talking absolute pish to them.I'll listen to anything good really: Nirvana, The Who, The Smiths (never used to like them but Mark loves them and Morrissey so after years of listening to them in the car he's converted me!), Morrissey, The Eagles (that comes from my dad, he loved them), Foos, Oasis (more so when I was younger, they've got a bit shit now), Metric (Emily is sound met her at the Arches in Glasgow when I was going for a pee), Kula Shaker, Reuben, Jeff Buckley, Open Hand, Weezer, Sucioperro, Interpol, Bloc Party, Madonna, QOTSA, Elvis Perkins (and In Dearland), The White Stripes, We Are Scientists, SOAD, Audioslave, Seafood, Ian Brown, Ryan Adams, InMe, Soundgarden, Wolfmother, Pixies, Placebo, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Stone Roses and of course Marmaduke Duke. There's a hell of a lot more but I can't think, this list is always going to get longer!
Movies:
Anything with Johnny Depp, He's lovely!! I like a lot of girly stuff too the usual Grease and Dirty Dancing! Love the Marx Brothers they totally crack me up. Pretty fond of scary films unless they freak me out! I'm a baby coz I'm quite scared of the dark so sometimes a scary film will freak me out for ages, I don't mind gore and blood and guts though it's more the psychological stuff that scares me. Indiana Jones can never be beaten, he is the greatest hero of all time!! Other favourites are The Goonies, Psycho, Pulp Fiction, Die Hard, Easy Rider, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Stand By Me, Dazed and Confused, Cinema Paradiso, Alien, The Birds, Bronx Tale, Zoolander, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Saw, Shawshank Redemption, Shaun of the Dead, Meet the Parents, Friday, Dodgeball, The Shining, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, National Treasure, Ghostbusters (both), Austin Powers (all of them), The Godfather (1 & 2, 3 is not as great but it's still good), Jaws, Terminator (first 2), Planet Terror, Death Proof, Hot Fuzz, Silence of the Lambs, I'll be here forever if I carry on, thre's so many so I'll stop there!!
Television:
I don't really watch soaps any more, can't be arsed with them but I'll watch Hollyoaks when I'm hungover on a Sunday. Harry Hill's T.V. Burp is hillarious, normally only catch the repeats coz i'm never home from work in time to see it!! King of Queens is funny as fuck and so's Friends but i've got them all on DVD so I don't have to watch them on telly anymore! I like Never Mind The Buzzcocks I think Simon Amstell's highly amusing he always has me in stitches. Q.I. is great, funny and interesting too. C.S.I's good and so's Bones but I don't really watch them that often, don't have time. Keep meaning to watch Lost and 24 but have never got round to it, will eventually have to borrow the D.V.Ds from people! Will watch anything with Gordon Ramsay in it, always hoping he'll take his shirt off (don't know why but I really fancy him). I love Family Guy. Rome is excellent and I'm loving Heroes, it's fucking fab, haven't seen any of season 2 yet but can't wait too!Spend most telly time flicking through the music channels desperate for something great to come on instead of the complete and utter pish which tends to be on the majority of channels!!
Books:
Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs are my favourite authors, I've read most of their books. However have just started reading some of Tess Gerritsen's stuff and it's pretty good too. The Q.I. book was good, am full of loads useless shite information but I know how to get away if a Polar Bear ever decides to chase me!Have only recently started reading Stephen King books but they take me ages to read coz I can't read them when I'm in on my own, I get so scared of ghosty things. Have seen a ghost in our bedroom just after we moved in but I haven't seen him for a while. I often get the feeling of someone there, have done since I was a wee girl and it so freaks me out. So reading or watching something ghosty on my own really freaks me out!Have also started Keith Moons biography but I keep reading other books too so it's taking me ages. It's well good though would love to have gone on a night out with him!!Am currently reading Gordon Ramsays second book and the Q.I annual, then I think I'll read Russell Brands book next. I practicaly got a library for Chrismas!
Heroes:
Biffy, Kurt Cobain, Keith Moon, Winston Churchill, Dave Grohl, Peter Griffin, John McClane and Indiana Jones.
