The Adorables are a 4-piece rock band that focuses on melody, both musically and through lots of male/female vocal harmonies. The band already boasts 2 hours of original material with more new songs currently in the works. A brief history of The Adorables follows...
The band almost started in late 2002. Brian Hunt (vocals/guitar) began playing with Amy Mullins (vocals/bass), a jazz-trained bassist with the perfect ear for harmony vocals. The 2 played only several gigs as The Adorables and weren't terribly productive, by any means. This led to the beginning of the search for a drummer. Over a period of 3 days, Brian and Amy recorded 15 songs at home using programmed beatsthese became the original demo tracks for The Adorables.
Formerly the drummer for Prophecy, Naz Irani (drums, programming) was a friend of Amy and Brian's from when the 3 worked together in a record store a few years back. The Adorables weren't having much luck with the drummer search and gave Naz a copy of the recent demo recordings. At the time, he was playing in local hard rock band Aguklim but decided to leave that band in favor of a new situation. With the addition of a human drummer, the songs instantly improved and grew spines. The Adorables quickly developed a live set and had some shows lined up within a few months.
Realizing the desire for a fuller sound, the band decided to persuade Matias Jorquera (guitar, programming), also from Aguklim, to join as lead guitar player. After a couple months, Matias also decided to leave his band to write and play with Naz, Amy, and Brian. That night, The Adorables gladly played their last show as a 3-piece. Matias began working out new guitar parts right away and has since fleshed out the original set with perfect noise.
