About Me

An old-school goth girl -- goth before they had a name for it. Yes, I really am a librarian. I'm a real live Reference Librarian with a Master's Degree to prove it! I enjoy seeing the look of shock on people's faces when I tell them what I do for a living! I have tattoos, spiky hair, and a bad attitude--I'm doing my best to trash stereotypes about librarians. I won't shoosh you!
My nickname, The Illustrated Librarian, is homage to the Ray Bradbury book, The Illustrated Man, about a person whose tattoos tell their stories in very dangerous ways.
I'm openminded, and I like to meet other people who want to have fun and don't have hangups. I like to go out, but I also enjoy being home sometimes, just curled up with a good book. I have someone to read to me, that's even better! Movies are also a favorite pass-time, either at the theater, or snuggled up at home.
I don't like the sun or the heat, but I live in Palm Springs, and I LOVE Las Vegas. I just stick to indoor activities!
