My Interests

I'd like to meet:

.. ..

Spivs, Vampires, Lady Explorers, Grande Horizontales and Antiquarians. Or anybody I have met or who has something in common with me.
Born an army brat, previously a kimono dolly I am now a Bibliatrix esconced in the stygian gloom of a large academic institution. Alarmed by the homogenity of modern Albion I am drawn to the past in a search for the elegant and interesting, although make no claim to either of those qualities myself. I have a special soft spot for the 1890's, 20's, 30's and forties (obviously without the bombs and mass murder). I like wine, nice rare steaks, spookiness and dance music of the antiquated variety. An aspiring painter and writer of childrens fiction I spend a great deal of my spare time moaning. I veer towards Champagne Socialism and dislike snobs, sexists and anti-semites intensely. I also don't like cats much, or wasps. So no chauvinist nazi wasps.

This summarises things in a pithy yet passionate manner: Institutionalised mediocrity
Infinite tragedy
Rise up little souls join the doomed army
Fight the good fight wage the unwinnable war:
Elegance against ignorance!
Difference against indifference!
Wit against shit!
