Bryan Todd

I'm close to figuring it all out...I think.

About Me

The old adage, "it's all been said before", comes to mind.
In fact, a lot comes to my mind. I spend a lot of time there.
I often feel fake, like T.S. Eliot's 'Prufrock'; I prepare a face to meet the faces that I meet.
I don't hear voices, but I hear melodies and words.
I'm engrossed by film and music. Completely addicted.
I'm addicted to other things: sex, certain television shows, NPR, presidential politics and peanut butter, to name a few.
I like long walks on the beach, as long as the sun is down. The sun sears my skin.
I admire mavericks, like: Frank Lloyd Wright, Orson Welles, Tom Waits, Nikola Tesla, Kurt Vonnegut, David Byrne
I am a constant self-editor, a master procrastinator, and rely too much on spell-check.
I hate being condescended or lied to.
I've learned that levity, not brevity, is the soul of wit.
I've learned that, despite their many flaws, I like people.
I've learned a lot of things, but forgotten most.
