About Me

When you are as complex as I am, what can you say about yourself to explain to other people who you are? Well, I'll give it a shot! I am 37 years old, happily married for over 14 years to a pretty awesome guy-my "Lurch". I don't know how it happened ladies, but I hope you all find a partner who is as wonderful to you as mine is to me.
Perhaps one of my most exciting accomplishments, other than motherhood, is becoming leader of the Street Team for one of the HOTTEST newwer bands in the world-- (intheclear) !!I absolutely ADORE everything about this band...and trust me, that is not a compliment I dish out freely. I have been rockin' since the '80s-so I have seen LOTS of great bands. THERE IS NO OTHER BAND IN THE WORLD LIKE (intheclear) -that is for sure!
I have a 19 year old son, and a daughter who is 14 and so much like her Mama it scares me(and probably a whole helluva lot of others too)! LOL! YIKES!!
If you haven't checked out (intheclear)for yourself yet,

We are all SERIOUSLY into music here at home. Many of us have either played an instrument or vocals in the past or are currently doing so. WE ARE ALL MAJOR MUSIC FANS! ESPECIALLY HARD ROCK!
We all especially like helping support and promote talented, deserving, hard working musicians/groups/artists (especially local bands from in and around Louisville, KY-IF they are deserving)! We are all VERY dedicated fans! We try to help our favorite bands by plastering flyers around, spreadin' the word on the web and whatever else we can do to help!

My Interests

FAMILY; MUSIC-ESPECIALLY ROCK (hard rock, metal, classic, alternative, folk, etc., Classical, and even very limited country). I listen to a little bit of just about everything from time to time!

I especially LOVE the Local Music Scene here in Louisville, KY!
It is absolutely BUSTING with MAJOR TALENT!!

It is a pleasure for me to use what resources and professional experiences and acquaintances I have made to attempt to help hard working, talented local/regional newer and Indie Bands!

One of my biggest endeavors of late is researching, learning and implementing ways to help our environment and the world we live in. I'm not perfect, but I am making efforts.

I'd like to meet:

Happy (at least for the most part), fun loving, and generally peaceful people, especially those who like to ROCK! It is sometimes hard to find others in my age range who are into HARD ROCK as much as I am!

Music:

To list all my musical interests and bands would probably be next to impossible, but here are my absolute faves and closest to my heart (er, I guess that should read "ears").

(intheclear), Hourcast, Cold (now gone separate ways...bummer), Dear Enemy, Fierce Embrace, Serene, Diecast, Tool, Heaven Hill, Halfway Hollow, Killswitch Engage, Disonic, Aerosmith, (the old) Motley Crue, (the old) Guns 'n Roses, Stonesour, Crossfade, The Exies-this list could go on almost indefinitely!

Movies:

Eddie Murphy "Delirious", John & Yoko-"Give Peace a Song", Pirates of The Carribean I & II, The Outsiders, Reality Bites, JackAss I & II, GoodFellas, The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire, Spinal Tap, Shaun of the Dead, Little Miss Sunshine, Almost Famous. There are many more, too numerous to even begin summarizing them into a list!

Television:

I don't watch a great deal of TV, but when I do I love comedy-anything that makes me smile. When I do watch TV I like to watch WildBoyz (Chris Pontius is unbelievably hot-it's a good thing I am not younger & hotter myself..lol!), Viva La Bam, JackAss, MAD TV, old episodes of "In Loving Color" & "Saturday Night Live", and "Miami Ink". I also watch documentary type shows on environmental issues such as Global Warming, etc. For some strange reason, here lately I find myself enjoying watching "Rob & Big" on MTV! LOL!

Books:

Not much of a reader, but I was given a book I wanted very badly as a Christmas gift from my awesome hubby, and although it is hard to read sometimes due to the graphic reality of the content, I am currently reading "The Heroin Diaries" by Nikki Six. I never am ceased to be amazed at what the human soul and body can survive if the will is there.

Heroes:

My Daddy, who truly was my best friend, a wonderful parent, and whom I miss more than anyone could ever imagine (I lost him Dec. 10, 2005); my kids; my wonderful husband of 15 1/2 years, Brian(a.k.a. "Lurch-he is 6' 6 1/2"). He is the love of my life and my soul mate. Mother Theresa; survivors of natural and man-assisted disasters; volunteers and people who reach out to lend a hand to those in need; everyone who works hard to make a decent living; those who try to spread peace & happiness; and MUSICIANS, for making my life more FUN, more interesting, and giving me endless ways of expressing myself!
