The original Digable Cat

About Me

Front woman, Co-founder & songwriter of the Chicago band Digable Cat, Susie Lofton is a uniquely gifted singer & engaging lyricist, who sings compelling tales of the human experience. Her soulful phrasings and melodic storylines set the pace and tone for every song. A truly Digable Cat." I wanted to share the songs that I wrote & performed with Digable Cat. So many people encouraged and supported me throughout the whole experience. It really gave me a platform in which to develop my sound and songwriting skills. This page is to give homage to the amazing Chicago musicians that helped to build both the full length album "Skratch Traxx" & the self titled EP. These songs will continue to live on in my heart & soul." ********Now fronting the soulful funky rock band SPYDER MONKEY, Susie embraces a new & exciting direction in songwriting & performing. Check out SPYDER MONKEY @ http://www.myspace.com/wwwspydermonkeythebandcom.*********** *****************************************Susie's powerful "sweet & soulful" voice is noted to be reminiscent of notarious female rockers PJ Harvey, Blondie & Concrete Blonde's Johnette Napalitano. Past Digable Cat projects include mainstage performances at H.O.B. Chicago, H.O.B. Back Porch Stage, Wells Street Arts Festival, Midwest Tour, UK Tour & MECA Music Conference & Festival. Susie has also recorded at world renown Fantasy Studios in Berkley, California with 4 Non Blondes drummer Dawn Richardson.
