The Wormcast is an on going story in Mam Tor Publishing's 'Event Horizon'. Designed as a free form expression to blur the lines between comics and short story formats, the 'Author' Ali Pow3rs, was asked to dig even deeper into the dirt, and write a concept album based on the themes and ideas held within The Wormcast story. These are a few rough sketches written and recorded by Ali Pow3rs at home, the song "There's nothing artificial about intelligence" features Comic Book Artist, Editor, and Friend Liam Sharp, who co-wrote the melody and lyrics. The artwork shown is by 'Event Horizon' artist Samuel Araya from the first two stories, enjoy.

This film is the poem that inspired 'The Wormcast' and actually got me the gig at Mam Tor.The story goes I was drunk in a bar with Liam Sharp (editor in chief), and recited this poem to him, word for word, by heart, so he gave me a shot at writing a short story for his forthcoming anthology 'Event Horizon'... Which became 'The Wormcast' and is set in the same world as this Poem...The story of the Poem is quite different. I was 20-21 and living in Liverpool at 5a Parliament Place, and I had a dream about the first time I saw a ladybird that wasn't red with black spots. I was round the back of my old JMI School St. Catherines, looking on from the side, while me as a 4-5 year old kid, had a yellow and orange ladybird land on my hand (a very clear memory of mine). I woke up and wrote this poem word for word in one solid flow. The music and film was made much later and partly produced by singer/songwriter Sion Whiley, but is now quite old, and has remained on my hard drive till now...Hope you like it.x
