Scott Kolecki

Cleveland Based Country Singer/Songwriter

About Me

Scott Kolecki grew up listening to everything but country music. As a kid, his parents introduced him to a diverse range of music...from the sounds of the Cleveland Orchestra to his mom's collection of Elvis Presley records. As he got older and he was exposed to other styles, he began listening to rock/metal bands including such acts as AC/DC. Poison, Guns & Roses and Metallica. It wasn't until Scott was in high school that he would discover the music that truly became his calling and his passion. It happened when a friend happened to play a Garth Brooks album for him on the drive in to school one autumn morning early in his junior year of high school. The impact of that music was immediate. Before long, Scott began listening to country almost exclusively, and over time, started learning to play the guitar. By the time he was in his early twenties, he was finding work as a country singer and began his search for acceptance as an artist.
Now, nearly ten years later, Scott is continuing his pursuits as a country singer by returning to performing after a 2 year break when his daughers were born. With a renewed sense of conviction, Scott has begun looking for work locally throughout Northeast Ohio with the intention of re-tuning his skills. In the summer of 2008, Scott, his wife and children will be making a permanent move to Nashville, Tennessee, where he can more fully realize his ambitions as a country singer and songwriter.
Scott's musical style is diverse, which probably stems from his broad and eclectic exposure to many varied styles of music. Many claim that he has a sensitive side to him that is more appearant in him than in a lot of singers which allows his vocals to really pierce the heart on some of his more moving ballads. At the same time, Scott's high energy performance style ensures listeners a good time at any of his shows.
Presently, Scott has a solo acoustic show that he will be performing throughout Northeast Ohio at any of his future bookings. This show, which features music from today's country radio as well as many classic country standards, is a sure crowd pleaser for young and old alike. Should you be interested in learning more about this show, or if you are interested in hiring him for your next public/private function, he can be reached through myspace or at his website: www.scottkolecki.com. Also, look for the release of his first independently produced CD "Scott Kolecki, Songs After Midnight", which will be available later this year. The CD is a collection of original songs written by Scott along with some other local talents that he has had the privelage of working with during his country music career.
