"Cupid shot me, the bastard got me†– Arrow In My HeartTom Hatred and the Angryband have been playing music together since the beginning of March this year. It is testament to Tom’s writing that songs which originally sounded stark and tender when performed acoustically gain a depth and danceability now that amps, bass and drums have been added. From the big, bold and raunchy-riffed "Bear Cub Dancing" to the broken-hearted "Lost Without You" and the vapidity-baiting "From Here It’s Hard To Tell"
Tom Hatred and the Angryband play emotionally honest, lyrically interesting music that make you pull the jerky dance moves favored by indie kid the world over. Comparisons to The Smiths, Syd Barett and Johnny Cash give a partial insight into the sound that supports these innately English lyrical confessions of murder and heartbreak. With an impressive lot of gigs behind him, Tom can boast support slots with Jamie T, Jack Penate, The Holloways, Tilly and the Wall, Johnny Flynn and Pull Tiger Tail to mention but a few.
Remarkable song craft and energetic performances have Tom already being described as “an anti-folk hero†in Dazed and Confused and as a “fast-rising new folk starlet" in the NME, also being sighted as one of The Fly’s “names to watch†this May.

MARK GREANEY
Mark Greaney comes from a place called Meadow of the Bull in Dublin
City, Ireland. He formed a band when he was 16, it was called JJ72.
He wrote the songs, sang and played guitars and pianos, not all at
once. This band released hit singles from two albums between
2000-2003, the albums went on to sell in excess of 650,000 copies.
During these years JJ72 toured many beautiful and not so beautiful
places around the world. JJ72 toured alone and sometimes with others,
such as Coldplay and U2. The band split in 2006 and Mark decided that
it was time to embark upon the second leg of his journey as a musician
and songwriter, he picked up his violin and then remembered why he had
put it down in the first place, so he spent some time making plans
about making plans and then wrote some new songs on his dusty piano.
He wrote, and continues to write, songs about the golden apples of the sun and the silver apples of the moon......and dust, and house spiders. He will
record his debut solo album this year and will play his new songs and
some of his older songs live.Academy are the management company for Mark Greaney

JULIAN LENNON"If I was gonna write again I had to live again I had to look deep inside myself and start again." So says Julian Lennon of his decision to return to the music industry after an absence of seven years. Indeed at the start of this decade it seemed unlikely that Julian would ever record again. Despite the fact that he launched his career with the international hit single 'Too Late for Goodbyes,' despite the fact that between the years 1984 and 1991 he released four albums with combined sales of five and a half million, Julian had tired of the media circus. His original independent label Charisma records had become absorbed into a major, and his success had attracted some "advisors" who were more than ready to relieve Julian of his income: "Control over your career is so important. How can you express yourself when other people are trying to do it for you?"So Lennon quit. He spent the next few years living the life he had previously been denied during his punishing schedule. Relaxing in his lakeside house in Northern Italy. Sailing, Travelling. Accumulating antiques, rifling through flea markets. Anything that didn't involve the dreaded 'm'-word.During this time Julian even considered other career options: "I needed to think about a life outside the industry. I've always been interested in architecture and interior design, and even cooking but in the end I started playing again because of my love of music - and I didn't want to walk away from it all with the last four albums as a legacy!"Academy are the management company for Julian Lennon
