at the moment, it all looks like this:
1. airstrip one is go go go.
2. my second album a thunderstorm, also an airstrip one project- will be released in autumn in a pretty box i am making. details soon.
3. i'm remixing stuff and making it noisier (see the player)
4. disco machine gun is waiting for me in london.
5. though she with giants fights - plot is finished, am in process of writing the novella- and will then begin turning that into thrashy apocalyptic music. plenty of ideas for music already.
and so...
THE AIRSTRIP ONE LIVE RESERVE BATTERY is a band made to reenact my first record 'shining sword'. we are a punk band, believing that the purpose of any punk aesthetic is inherently within informed protest, and evoking new forms of articulating social and political critique. diplomatic immunity isn't immune enough, you fuckers. national interests are business interests and we are the merchandise. "anger is a gift", as are tears, as are bricks in our hands, as are burning flags (because nothing scares them more than our realisation that NATIONHOOD IS A MYTH and exists only to interpellate and divide) grow your own food. don't outsource. get to know your locals. smile more often. take some responsibility. according to a few, we only got five years left....

£6.00tiny melodies played out in empty houses, cries of worry from the 'ideological conflict that will last a generation', shining sword is a story of desperate calls to arms and a climate of fear, of dostoyevsky and bush dancing on a burning field, surveillance society and social alienation in cities so packed full of lonely souls, but noone is alone.
shining sword is the product of 3 years songwriting, editing and cabin-fever-like panopticon-worry, and i am grateful for all those that endured: david walsh has created beautiful concept art for the album which comes in handcrafted cardboard casing. inserts include manipulations of foundart and a manifesto we found whilst tracing the radio.

disco machine gunwhat i'm looking forward to mostly, luke awaits my arrival in london with new band members.
though she with giants fightsdrums and loops, aural trance and low-fi club hypnosis. another bloody concept project, centred this time around a short story that i'm is working on. a 17 year old japanese girl, whispers of abduction at the hands of giant alien colonisers.
above the harbour lights a noise / improv band comprising anyone that wants in. we don't rehearse. there are no allusions to anything. we have destroyed 'langue' and eaten 'parole' in it's entirety. we have recorded one album, which you can download in the blogs section.

lost bardo, punk? epic apocalyptic reverant instrumentals, young mighty screams at the sky, buddhist prayer flags set aflame in reverence to a dying summer breeze. if you saw us play live, count your lucky stars cos we're now on hiatus. we were david morris, ben long and myself.
the enemy bandwagon pop garage trendmonger sleaze & stardom, meta-fiction and mass culture remix. for all the 'indier than thou' kids, and all the people that just feel left behind, but kinda curious. subvert the dominant paradigm.
