Scott (Panache Art)

Taking life one brush stroke at a time

About Me

All my art is on my web site. Click here:

My real name is Scott Moore. I am the person your mother warned you about as a child.

I chose the name Panacheart to match the name of my web site www.panacheart.com . The name means "Art with Panache". For those who dont' know what Panache means, it's a French word that means to do with flare and style - "AVEC PANACHE!" This saying has its origins in the tales of "Cyrano de Bergerac". If you're interested you can read the book. It wasn't out of pretention that I chose the name Panache Art (although I'm told I'm cocky sometimes). I wanted a web site with my own name, but according to google.com, it turns out there are dozens of Scott Moores out there, and they're all apparently artists. If I ever became famous I would be known for somebody I wasn't. It's confusing, but then so am I.

I'm all about my art right now. It consumes me as I consume it.

I'm currently (2006) living in Southern Japan, on the island of Kyushu, in a small small town called "Usuki". There is nothing here. I'm the only foreigner for miles. People stare and wonder when they see me (but then people have always stared and wondered about me wherever I live). But the architecture and rural landscape provide wonderful images to paint and photograph, and I'm all about painting and photography right now.

My Gallery

My Interests

Art, Graphics, Illustration, Pen & Ink, Printing, block prints, etching, oil painting, watercolor, painting, sketching, graphic arts, computer graphics, photoshop, illustrator, charcoal, charcoal drawing, ganga, travel, Japan, Japanese, French, France, Europe, Africa, Asia, Taiwain, Korea, China, Seattle, Washington, International Business, Inernational Relations, Art, things Artistic, Key word searches, Friends, Sex, Music, Reggae, Coffee, Cameras, digital cameras, photoshop cs, canon, rock-n-roll, sake, japanese food, girls, fun, body painting and George Bush Bashing.

I'd like to meet:

Other artists, photographers, illustrators, etc, or people interested in art, or people interested in my art. After all, I'm all about art. I'm interested in networking with serious artists, the eclectic, the right end of the bell curve. I especially like artists who are better than I am; I have a lot to learn, and you can only learn from people who have superior skills. Have I mentioned art yet?

Oh, and beautiful women - after all I'm a guy. :-P.

Who I won't add: No bands please, I'm not here to advertise for bands. No artists that constantly use their comments and bulletins to SELL art. I really do network with some cool people, and constant advertising gets in the way. If you're religious, that's great, but I delete people that post constant religious bulletins. I don't like being proselytized to.

Lastly, I feel compelled to say how much I think Bush is an idiot, and a traitor. I know that's not about art, but it is my civic duty to resist fascism and denounce war. Have we found those WMDs yet? No? Remember the war wasn't about Freedom for the Iraqi people, it was about WMDs, which Bush knew Hussein didn't have. Not only that, however creepy Hussein was, we also now know that he was at odds with Al Qaeda, and didn't like Osama Bin Laden. Good soldiers, like good Samurai, are highly honorable and deserve a better cause to die for. There, I said it.

Television:

I generally don't watch TV; it rots the mind, and dulls the senses. But once in a while I'll watch CNN - 'the news you can't trust' for an overview of the world as seen from Atlanta, Georgia.

PBS, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Biography Channel, The Daily Show with John Stewert (I love this guy), David Letterman, and Stephen Cobair.

If I want to know what most Americans are thinking, I'll watch Fox news for about two hours straight. And although I can endure two hours of Fox news for the sake of anthropological study, I've yet to sit through an entire reality show, like survivor. It's too much for me to watch that nonsense. I'd rather die slowly being beaten to death with a spoon.

If you want to try an interesting excercise, sit down with a pen and paper, and write down everything the commercials are trying to sell you in a one hour show. Google the product and find the price, and tally it up at the end of an hour. Try that for a week.
