Matt du Jardin and Yossi Amoyal are two individuals with a very similar take on music, art and life in general. Although both hail from separate cultures, separate ways of life and separate musical backgrounds, they share a true Ying Yang partnership with a united vision of new wave and old school music that they wish to share with the world. “We are always doing away with musical boundaries and always pushing for new sounds!â€.
Sushitech and sub-label Sushitech Purple both share the same generic vision - to have an eclectic variety of artists, music and artwork fused together to form an artistic and musical journey into the unknown. Sushitech will always support producers and artists alike and will never be categorized into one musical genre. Weather it be House, Techno, Dub or Electronica, we are always supporting good music and are always trying to evolve. We are constantly trying to find the balance between electronic and organic, softness and hardness, darkness and brightness but at the same time never forgetting that ultimately it’s all about entertaining the listener either in the club or at home. Together with the artists we are trying to do some different collaborations on our labels with a shared goal to build something new. As well as this we are working with our designer, Chris Meinke, we trying to create an aural and visual pleasure for the DJ and listener.
Of the two sides of the label, Sushitech can be classed ‘without being classed’ as the darker side. It integrates intelligent sound, with deeper straighter audible movements. The more emotional part of the label. With artists such as Yossi Amoyal, Koljah, Leonel Castillo and Anonym to name but a few. It is the side of the label without artistic or musical boundaries, yet it still manages to keep its own identity.
Sushitech Purple is the “smiling†sounding side of the label, mainly focusing on house and electronica. It creates musical cuts that retain those elements to work as tracks, and yet still pushes new musical boundaries within. Artists on Sushitech Purple include E. Bridge, Chrom , Gregorythme, Dafluke and more. Sushitech will always support producers and artists and will always try to put sound in the right direction.
