About Me

My name is Matt and I am 25 years old. I grew up in Kansas City MO and Olathe Kansas. I love the Midwest and I love to meet new people from all over. I think that you can learn something from everybody you meet and that's pretty sweet! I am currently going through Physical Rehab. down here at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas after being blown up in SOUTHERN BAGHDAD, IRAQ on June 10, 2007. My platoon and I were coming in from a patrol when 5 shape charges blew through my up-armored door. I remained conscious the entire time and can still remember what the explosion tasted like. I lost my left arm above the elbow and I lost both of my legs above the kneecaps...it hurt. However, I am so incredibly grateful to still have the gift of life and be able to tell my story and hopefully help other people somehow through all of this. Whatever doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, right? I am a firm believer in that at least. Like I said, I love meeting new people and having fun. That's what life's all about or at least it should be. I have two beautiful daughters and I am curently going through a divorce. If you have any questions or just want to talk-I'm here. My Interests

Being outdoors, whether it be camping, hiking, canoing, biking, or just going for a stroll through the woods or on a trail, I love being outside. My stress relief is lifting weights and running.
