MR. COPE was born on NOVEMBER 14th 1984 as CEE COPELAND. Mr. COPE parents were deep into the music in the late 70's and all through out the 80's. MR. Cope started working on music at the age of 12. Mr.Cope started off as a rapper in a group called the"EASTSIDE LOONEYGEES"which consisted of friends from the neighborhood(PIMP TAY).
As Mr. Cope got older he taught his self how to record his own music at home using two tape players. When Mr.Cope was in the 8th grade he meet a new student named PHIL HAYES. There were rumors around school that Phil could rap and was a good rapper so eventually the two young rappers colabed. At the time Phil's rap name was "THE WIZE POET."
The two young artist quickly began to start recording music together and formed a recorded label called BRUTAILTY RECORDS. During the summer of 99 the two rappers started to make beats and record local talet from their school.
Once the school year started the two rappers sold a compliation cd which included songs of their own plus some of the local talent around school. The Complation was called "The Brutality ALL Stars." The two made enough money to buy therself a small project studio setup. This is when the two decided that wize poet should relese a solo album and they then released "The WIZE POET ONE" album.
The album did so well that the label had picked up an investor. The investor provided the label with state of the art recording equipment and funds to promote the next album. Once the two was given this equipment they quickly recorded Wize Poet's second album "SOMTHING SERIOUS." The album would have been a sucess but then 9-11 hit and the label lost their investor. A few weeks later MR.Cope got kicked out of school for being involved in too many fights. Mr. Cope was then sent away to live with his father in Dayton Ohio. At the same time Wize Poet linked up with a label Called TWINN PRODUCTIONS.
TWINN PRODUCTIONS started to book shows for Poet and he then later was in a group with rapper from Mechinicsville named ICKY. At the same time MR. Cope was in DAYTON, Ohio learning how to make beatz. MR. Cope made a few friends in Dayton but not many. He pretty much locked his self in the basement and made beatz all day. Mr.Cope was going through a mild depression and the only cure for him was to make music.
When Mr.Cope Graduated from Highschool he moved to Orlando Fl. and went to a school called FullSAIL. Fullsail taught MR.COPE the basics and Fundementals of recording music. After A year of School Mr.Cope Grauduated with an Associates Degree in RECORDING ARTS. During the time that MR. COPE was in School he meet some of the most talented people in the world. He meet R-1 from Cleveland, Mavelle from Conntiucuet, Joe Beddrock from Oakland, B-do From Houston, J-whoa from Clearwater,and others. When Mr.Cope Graduated he moved back to North Metro Atlanta. Mr. Cope and the Wize Poet had linked back up and was back in bussiness. Poet changed his name to P.FLOATA. Floata and Cope decided to change the record label name to MONEY HUNGRY RECORDS.
