Who is Gee Money ? Well if you dont know then you better ask somebody! I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and my dynamic personality and hard work set the rest in motion! While living in New York I began to dabble in the entertainment industry, and got involved in all aspects from Rap Music, cutting an album with Partners in Poetry as an artist to managing artist under Trifecta management. Simultaneously to hone my thespian craft I began acting in various plays in local theater and because of the nature of the business and natural progression of the industry I began branching out to videos, TV and TV commercials. Right before I made the venture to come to St.Maarten I got my first exposure to a major motion picture in the movie Mixing Nia along side Karyn Parsons (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) and Isaiah Washington (Dead Presidents).
Why St.Maarten you ask? Well St.Maarten is not new to me; it has always been my second home since I was a youngster residing in NYC. My mother hails from the French side of the island and over the years while growing up I would travel with my family to the friendly island for holidays and summer vacations. I made the move to St.Maarten in 1998 and began doing radio in 1999 and I've been holding down the midday shift, 10AM to 2PM ever since then with the "AM/PM Workload Show". In 2003 I started doing Saturday nights with the "Saturday Jump off" and in 2004 I was awarded radio host of the year for my show on Laser 101 FM.
But it doesnt stop there; No way, I'm not only doing my thing on Laser 101. I also can be seen on local TV and cable, in V.I.P. (Videos Interviews Parties) a show I co hosts and co produces with my brother Chet, as well as commercials for local vendors I also appear in. You can also see me on Kiko Ta Kiko TV as the St. Maarten correspondent in various islands around the caribbean, doing interviews with todays hottest artists.
But lets not forget theater where I still do my thing on the stage here in St.Maarten. I just finished shooting an Independent movie called "The Panman" which will be released later this year in most of the major film festivals around the world. In 2005 I won the award for "Best Male Performance" for my role as Walter Lee in the play "A Raisin In The Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry.
From time to time I host many concerts, shows and events thought the Caribbean, shows like St.Maarten Summerfest, Heineken Green Synergy DJ Competition, St. Maarten Heineken Regatta Concerts, Miss Martinique International Pageant, Miss St. Maarten Hibiscus Pageant and many concerts (Ja Rule, Ludacris, Sanchez, Destra, Wayne Wonder, Tanya Stevens) in St.Maarten.
In November 2005 MTV launched a new channel in the Caribbean called Tempo in which I hosted there opening party here in St.Maarten and can be seen on the channel hosting the Heineken Green Synergy DJ Competition.
Your boy has also done a couple of rap intro's for DJ Spinderella & DJ Mo'Dav's syndicated radio show called "The BackSpin" with DJ Outkast.
