That's not what I ordered.

About Me

I am a geek, in fact, it is quite astonishing that such a geek as I am allowed to roam freely about the Internet. Be afraid, very afraid. But seriously, I'm a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University, and I'm looking for grad schools. I have applications into Loyola Marymount and the Claremont Graduate Institute, so hopefully, one or both of them. I'm going to be writing and teaching eventually, it's just finding what to do in the meantime that is keeping me scratching my head. After Grad School, I'll probably be getting involved with an over-seas program to teach English, preferably to Japan or Eastern Europe. I'd love to spend time in Germany and Great Britain, but who knows what will be in store for me in five years? Well, God obviously, but you see my point.

My Interests

Hobbies: -Role-playing - The Camarilla, Gnostica, World of Darkness products, Cthullu, Lord of the Rings, Illuminati-Reading: World of Darkness stuff, Sci-Fi, Bizarro Sci-Fi, Modern Lit, Post-Modern Lit, enough generalizations?-Writing: Poetics, bizarro-speculation papers, plays, sci-fi, fiction, non-fiction, (I know I can be more vague...but how? Hahaha)-Wine-tasting, sushi-going, and possibly more, depending on what I remember.

I'd like to meet:

Creative people who are happy with themselves. This world is far too small and epheremal for unhappy, angry people who are happy with their own stagnation and try to bring others down to their static level. Life is short, our time is short, make the most of it and have fun. That's one way I like to look at everyday life. It's not the best, but then again, it's not the worst. Also, people who like coffee. There's something inherantly untrustworthy about someone who can't enjoy a cup of heaven.

Music:

Havalina Rail Co., The Postal Service, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Mates of State, Jars of Clay, Pink Floyd, Death Cab for Cutie, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Earlimart, The Smiths, The Reputation, Panda Squad, Dean Martin, The Faint, The Features, Saturday Looks Good to Me, Of Montreal, Bright Eyes, Trachtenberg Family Slideshow Players, The Aquabats, Rainer Maria, R.E.M., X, Talking Heads, The Violent Femmes, Jane's Addiction, Joy Division, New Order, Modest Mouse, THE GREAT ONE: William Shatner, Hot Hot Heat, Interpol, Groovie Ghoulies, Tenacious D, Weird Al, Velour 100, The Avalanches, The Advantage, The Killers, The Libertines, The Owls, The Sundays, Frente!, Sigmatropic, The Fever, Dressy Bessy, Rilo Kiley, The Black Heart Procession, Sloan

Movies:

Anything involving Akira Kurosawa, Star Wars - all six of them, Star Trek - all ten of them, the Christopher Guest Quadrilogy: This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind; most Terry Gilliam movies; RHPS,
