East of Innocence is a five piece modern rock band from Western Tennessee. EOI originated from basement jam sessions between high school classmates. After being through many changes the band is now set with Daniel Dwight (vox), Brad Butler (guitar), Chris leerskov (guitar), Brent Gilliland (Bass), and Jeff Moore (Percussion). EOI's music, while radio friendly follows a more conceptual, album oriented focus with a lyrical emphasis on human emotion and philosophy as opposed to today's reality based writing style. The band played its first show in the spring of 2004 impressing those in attendance and garnering a spot on the line-up for Metal Fest, a multi venue summer rock show featuring 50 bands from 3 states. After much promotion, including a live performance of Space Between Us on Jackson Tennessee radio Station 102.3 The Rocket, EOI played Metal Fest to a packed house. The summer of 2004 cemented East of Innocence as a band with promise. Most recently East of Innocence was the featured artist for January 2005 on www.bekkerrock.com after pulling off a legendary performance on New Years 05'. East of Innocence also hosted the Dillon Larue benefit concert in the summer of 2007 raising around $3000 dollars for the family. The band continues to gain momentum and looks forward to years of creating and sharing music with their fans. If you like what you hear please come be our friends on myspace.
