I Do Not Fear Success. I Do Not Fear Failure. What I Fear Is Missing Success Out of Fear of Failure-

About Me

I would like to dedicate this myspace page to Tristan Blake (July 7th, 1987 to August 2nd, 1987), Zachary Ryan (Oct 5, 1990 to Oct 5, 1990), Caleb Adam (May 9th, 1993 to May 9th, 1993)who all passed away from the dreadful disorder of Harlequin Ichthyosis, and my nephew (who passed way on May 3rd, 2005,) Gary. And now, which one of the 'mes' do you wanna know about? I'm a writer. I'm a mother. (I may not have had the privelege of keeping my three sons, but I was blessed with two beautiful daughters.) I truly loved being a healthcare provider for Alzheimer's sufferers and perhaps one day I'll get to work with them again. I'm definately a BIG Nascar Fan. And I'm an all around friendly person with a great sense of humor. With the life I've lead, it takes a lot to offend or embarrass me. So feel free to be yourself around me. I go by the names Pam, Pam Pam, Pammie, Pammers and P. Marie. So you pick the persona you'd like to get to know. Also, I'm here on Myspace to develop new friendships as well as to retain old friendships and to promote my story. As the song says, "I don't want a lover, I just need a friend." End of discussion.
It's a good read! I SWEAR!(If This Is Life Let Me Out: The Princess Chronicles by P. Marie is anything but the typical sci-fi novel! The story takes you far into the future on a chase through space. Told through the females’ point of views, it’s a story of their changing lives and the challenges they face because they’re royal blood. The main character, Chaka, has been abducted and forced to work like a slave by her cousin. Being in captivity is bitter sweet for her; she hates being a slave but yet is able to discover love from the most unusual source—The ship’s commanding officer. A man who is harboring a secret. Chaka’s family, lead by her brother, is on the tail of the ship she’s being held in and never gives up their quest to rescue her and bring her home where she belongs. This story is the first installment of a series. It is full of suspense, action, drama, romance, and will keep readers turning the pages and wanting more. --Overview written by Christine Poole Murphy. Author of The Cold Case of Millersport: Amelia’s Story )

The normal blue of Chaka's eyes.
(The following few pictures resemble the other four female characters in my book.)
Dorian Clevenger did this painting. I think it's awesome!! I found this artist about three years ago, well after I established the lead character's appearance in my story. The pic is almost a dead ringer of how I envisioned my lead character!

My Interests

ALASKA!! IT'S WHERE I WAS BORN!! HOME OF THE WILD AND FREE!!THIS BROTHER IS THE REAL DEAL! There's no puttin' on any airs with this Captain. I won't say he's my hero but I will say he sure is an inspiration.MY PRETILLION SECTION

Pretillion, it's one of the many planet in the story and the fifth planet in a coalition. This small planet is noted for its insect population and drug lords. And where the streets are nameless. But it's a powerful game player on the universal scene. This is the first planet that my lead female character actually helps fight for. The Pret race are a people who want redemption from the evil that has taken over their once grand city Banzi. Five songs that were key in helping influence the condition of this planet were: Shania Twain's--God, Bless the Chid; Peter Gabriel's--Biko; Phil Collins--Both Sides of the Story and Wynnona Judd--Freedom; Guns and Roses--Welcome to the Jungle.

My inspiration for the Black Castle. Gad what a beautiful looking fortress.

In part of the story, a feleeks (look at creature definitions) will become one of the symbols of freedom on Pretillion. One that looks a lot like this beautiful horse does.

I didn't actually set out to be a writer. The idea for this story simply started out of those bored teenage years here on the Great Plains and my fascination with things found in the universe. Actually the true story started with a song, a poster and with four girls I considered to be my closest friends at the time (Joan Funk, Sue Camollocci(God I hope I spelled that right. If not, Sorry Sis!), Michelle Larson, and Bonita Hutchinson). Three of which I'm still real close to to this day. I began penning the story around the age of 17. Using my like of fairy tales, of castles, of stories of unconditional and forbidden love, star ships, spiritual and mystical things, and music as inspirations. Throughout the years, I've written on off and on it as a hobby. The tone of the story changing as I grew and matured, until finally it morphed into the story you read now. The first section only delves into a small portion of the actual saga. Only giving the reader a small taste of the characters personalities and lives. Each section a mere building block of the saga. Each chapter an essential element of the entire story. Each section as equally important as the rest.Me and my Jesse Vor inspiration, Michelle Larson

He WAS the inspiration for a much loved character! God Bless You, Micheal. R.I.P.

Five faces that inspired a story. These next pictures I think are great because they remind me of what life might be like in my story.

Now these photos are of SWEET CARS!!1978 Stingray! FEELING HOT!! HOT!! HOT!!1968 Ford Mustang. YEEOW!!OH! And we can't forget this beauty!!

I'd like to meet:

All sorts of Peeps both alive or dead!! I want to meet peeps who are interested in corresponding with me. I'd also like to meet people who actually are interested in reading and writing.

Music:

What can I say? PY has been such an inspiration to me. He's actually my writing muse. He's da Man!! And hopefully, his wonderfully unique voice shall grace this land once more.

Anything that will stir my moods, get my creative juices flowing and inspire my soul!! I particularly like songs like Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Run Like Hell'. Also, I'm drawn to songs that have a futuristic feel to them (i.e.) electronica). I like most of Phil Collins. I'm a HUGE Paul Young fan. Definately dig Madonna's tuneage. The song off her new album called Future Lovers is one of those futuristic sounds I'm talking about. As far as I'm concerned, Paul Young and Madonna are two of the most beautiful people on this planet as well. Alanis M. is definately a winner in the music field. I'm also a Country music fan. Country music has some of the most patriotic songs ever written. Some of my fav Country Musicians happen to be, Alabama of course. Brooks and Dunn. Charlie Daniels. Gretchen Wilson, Reba and Martina. I love AC/DC and Motley Crue. And a broad range of other stuff as well like remixes of songs. Sometimes I prefer a remix over the orginal song. I'm also drawn to songs that deal with death or loss. Having dealt with the personal loss of three of my own children, those songs tend to help me get thru the hurt that I sometimes experience by that tragedy.

Movies:

The character Samara is one of my favorite horror characters. The little girl that plays Samara before she was killed and became a merciless killer herself reminds me of my youngest daughter who has hair a lot like that.Star Wars (all six movies especially the original trilogy);Pirates of the Caribbean (all three movies); Indiana Jones Movies (all three); Gone With the Wind ("Oh Mr. Rhett, you is bad!"); Logan's Run ("There is NO Sanctuary"); The Ring 1&2 ("She never sleeps"); The Others; Scrooged ("Don't vex me, Frank, or I'll fix your mouth so it won't hold soup!"); The Green Mile ('Stinky Pinky, pew pew pew!); Blade Runner (Oh heavens, Harrison Ford is great!); Lord of the Rings movies; Steel Magnolias ("Half of Chickapin Parish would give there eye teeth to take a whack at Wheezer!"); Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ("You smell like old people and soap. I like it."); Poltergiest ("They're Here!"), Fried Green Tomatoes ("Secret's in the sauce.") OOOO...I can't forget Titanic! Gad I love that story!! OOO...I was just looking at my movie collection and forgot to put 'The Cell' on here. Oh the imagry in that movie is fantasic. Another movie I like real well is 'Beetlejuice'. I tend to like Tim Burton movies. They are so warped. 'Sleepy Hollow' is another fav here. OH I forgot about Bram Stoker's Dracula!! The theme song to that movie is simply awesome! And then there's the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers.Another one of my fav movies of course is The Shining. When I read the book, it was the first real scare I ever had. I prefer the mini series over the movie because it's closer to the book. And I love the Stanley Hotel.
The Stanley Hotel or in the story the Shining, The Overlook. Remember to stay out of room 217.

Television:

If I'm going to watch t.v., I usually watch documentaries on the History Channel or one of the Discovery Channel. Or anything that has to do with investigations in any field! Particularly paranormal investigations or homicide investigations. I like Forensic Files (provided it's a new show) on Tru T.V. I also appreciate shows on weather and geology as well. I guess anything that might be informative or a wee bit geeky. OH! Can't forget Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs. How I love that SHOW!! Can't imagine doing some of the stuff other people do for a living. And let's not forget "Deadliest Catch". Those guys are just nutz for going out in that freezing sea like they do. Simply wild! I also dig Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi. Those guys are simply crazy for what they do! And then there's 'Dr. G: Medical Examiner'. Wow! I highly respect that lady for what she does. I couldn't do it. I rarely watch movies or series on t.v. And about the only sitcoms I watch are M*A*S*H, Cosby Show and sometimes Cheers. I also like Good Eats on Food Network! Gotta love the science behind cooking. And then there's also the new show on A&E called Paranormal State and let's not forget the new Ghost Hunters International. And on the History Channel the new program MonsterQuest.A man who's intelligent and willing to get dirty. Gotta love it. THE BAD BOYS OF THE BEARING SEA!!After watching the last two seasons, you'll never catch me doing what these guys do! (No pun intended)

Books:

This is a book my friend C.P. Murphy wrote. It's under the genre of historical fiction and is a good read. I would recommend it if you look for some decent entertaining reading.I couldn't put this book down. Being the "Deadliest Catch" nut I am, this book gave insight into a couple of Bearing Sea fishermen's minds. It stripped away the candy coated editing from the show and cast these guys in a 'real' light. Three cheers for the Hillstrand Brothers, their boat the f/v "Time Bandit" and they work they were born to do.

Heroes:

Check out my website: www.pmarie.netI would have to say my heroes would be of course my God first and foremost. I have lived a blessed life. Singer and song writers. Authors like Stephen King, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz and V.C. Andrews. Directors and creators like George Lucas, Steven Speilberg and Gene Roddenbury. Anyone who can draw and paint. Stephen Hawkings and Albert Einstein, and anyone else who understands the workings of our universe better than I do. Definately our service people who put their lives on the line every day to protect our freedoms. These individuals are the ones who know the adage "Freedom does not come free" very well and still fearlessly step up to the plate. My hates off to all those who wear the uniforms.
