It’s a perfect example of the Ying and the Yang. Complete opposites that
come together to form the right balance. That’s what you get when you
come across Da Common Cauze. 2 Bronx-born representatives, who, although
completely different in style, personality, and looks, collectively bring
a sound unheard of, yet necessary in this day and age.
When they first met in Stevenson H.S back in ’99, they immediately hit it
off. Sharing the common bond of music, daily ciphers in the lunchroom to
the banging of tables were just a part of everyday life for them.
Eventually losing contact for two years, they would reunite in 2003 with
fellow comrades A.P. and Young Outlaw to form C.P.E. (Crown Prince Ent.)
In 2004, an agreement of divide and conquer was in order and Da Almighty
Jackal, along with K-otic, The Heart Of New York decided to take the
industry on as Da Common Cauze. Working diligently, they put together
snippet CD’s as promotional items and handing them out on the streets,
eventually falling into the hands of Mark “Gangsta†King. After hearing
the CD, Da Common Cauze were invited down to quad for an impromptu
audition of sorts. Since then, Da Common Cauze have been seen performing
in numerous clubs such as Downtime, Rare, and Spirit just to name a few,
as well as heard on numerous Mix CD’s from the likes of DJ Famous, DJ Ron
G, and DJ Me$$iah.
If their past is any indication as to what lies ahead, the future looks
very promising for these two stars in the making. Although as different
as oil and water, these childhood friends share one bond, and that is they
ride for a Common Cauze!
