My Interests

Guitar, music, concerts, films (docs are a fave), surfing concrete, surfing water, and writing a book that is taking me way too long...

I'd like to meet:

I have to say I have pretty much met most of the people I would ever want to meet... but I wouldn't mind adding Lindsey Buckingham and Johnette Napolitano to the list... Oh wait, here? Hmmmmm I don't know... Bring it...

Music:

If I have to name names... Sneaker Pimps, Daniel Johnston, Concrete Blonde, Prince, The Time, The Family, Wendy & Lisa, The Temptations, Sam & Dave, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Brainiac, Girls Against Boys, The Jesus Lizard, 7 Year Bitch, Frank Zappa, Nirvana, Pixies, Melvins, Shellac, PJ Harvey, Afghan Whigs, Twilight Singers, KISS, Fantomas, Tomahawk, Cycle Sluts From Hell, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Coldplay, Missing Persons, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Pat Benatar, Heart, Journey, Ratt, NIN, Depeche Mode, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, IAMX, Client... and absolutely ANYTHING Motown.

Movies:

My faves are To Kill A Mockingbird, Dogtown and Z Boys, The Devil And Daniel Johnston, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Fight Club, Jaws, West Side Story, Big Fish, and virtually everything from David Lynch.

Television:

Hmmmmmmmmm Well, my all-time faves are "Little House On The Prairie" (I am an anomoly), "Highway To Heaven" and "Taxi", with "Strangers With Candy" following right behind. "Sifl & Olly", the greatest show MTV ever cancelled, and ofcourse, "Six Feet Under". "24", "Rescue Me", "Nip/Tuck" and "Prison Break" are my shows per se... and yes, I do "American Idol".

Books:

"To Kill A Mockingbird" is the greatest book ever written in my opinion... Also, "Report From Ground Zero", "Among The Heroes", "The Greatest generation" by Tom Brokaw, "Alive" by Piers Paul Reid,"Perfume" by Patrick Suskind, "The Undertaking" by Thomas Lynch,"Fight Club" by Chuck Palahnuik... and "Dogtown -The Legend Of ZBoys".

Heroes:

My only real hero is my grandmother, whose courage battling cancer and sheer strength will always be my endless inspiration. Worth mentioning for reasons that are known only to myself... Michael Landon and Bruce Springsteen.
My musical heroes... Tim Tyler, Elizabeth Davis-Simspon, Eli Janney, Duane Dennison, Lindsey Buckingham and last but never least, Daniel Johnston.
My skate heroes... T.A., Jayboy, Hackett, & my man, Olson.

My Blog

You can't teach a dead dog new tricks... and other tales of Chinese Democracy
