In case you have not heard..............I AM MARRIED! To Julia. We have a pug, a poofy cat, and three children. I work as a information distribution specialist in a top secret divison of the goverment. In my spare time I like to quilt the dried wings of dead dragonflys into inspirational patterns that I discreetly mail to religous fundmentalist with the hope of turning them to atheism. I am liberal. I will not vote for Hilary. If she gets the nomination I, despite my PRO-ABORTION view and distrust of the religous right, will vote for John McCain. I apologize if I have failed to offend you.

My Interests

I am lovingly bound to Julia (who holds the whip). I am abosultely in love with my girls. I really love my family and friends. I love the mountains and all the adventure-therapy they bring me. I am passionate about music, good literature, poetry, art, theater, and movies that no one has ever seen. I completely dig the Denver music scene, and Denver has become my lover when no one else is around.

I'd like to meet:

Just looking for friends.

Music:

DeVotchka, yes yes yes! Gogol Bordello, their New York friends. Peter Gabriel is my patron saint, and Yes is the music I hear when I pass into the next life. Tom Waits plays the piano when I am on the prowl, and Ani DiFranco cools me down at the end of the night. Los Lonely Boys are my homeboys from my hometown of San Angelo, TX. Los Lobos are the band we would all like to be in. Zappa, Belew, and Fripp are my the three sides of my conscienceness. The Ramones are all that has to be. Roger Waters wrote the soundtrack to my adolescence. David Bowie taught me how to put on my red shoes and dance! Recent Raves: WILCO!!! Roxy Music, X, Cream, Leonard Cohen, Thievery Corporation, Dressy Bessy, Bad Luck City, Red Cloud West, Steve Earle, Jimmy Dale Gilmore, Flatlanders, Thrift Store Cowboys, Willy!! The list goes on............

Movies:

The most recent movie I watched was Guillermo Del Toro's 'Pan's Labyrinth'. I really don't go to the theatre that much, but I did make the time to see 'Borat' and 'ittle Miss Sunshine'. I prefer independent movies over the gargatuan blockbuster crap. Recent celluloid adventures: Queen Margot, Betty Blue, No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Juno, Into the Wild, Hard Candy, shit! I am drawing blanks..........

Television:

Three words: SHOOT YOUR FUCKING TELEVISION! COMMERCIALS=SATANIC COCK SUCKERS

Books:

Current Books: Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller (no relation, unfortunately), Arab and Jew by David Shipler, A Joseph Campbell Companion, Blood Orchid by Charles Bowden, and In Silent Graves by Gary Braunbeck. Just finished 'Under the Banner of heaven' by Jon Krakauer and currently re-reading my rock climbing books in preperation for climbing season. EDWARD ABBEY!!! Arab and Jew, Sparks and Shadows.

Heroes:

My dad is the hero I have always wanted to know. My brothers and my late sister, because they had to be heroic to put up with me. My mom 'cause she fought for me and chose me before anyone else. My daughters are heroes since they have made it through a messy divorce relatively intact.

Of Gawd?

It is really quite simple. The only truth I know is that some point in the development of human tradition, our ancestors looked up in the sky and wondered "what the heck" (hell not being a concept jus...

Once

My first date with Julia was to see 'Once'.  I cannot tell you how many people I have tried to get to watch it and they just blew me off.  I dream of a day when they all admit how horribly w...
