I'm a marketing/pr professional, video producer, supporter of the 'arts', and a mistress (the web kind, not "of the night" sort). Also, my name is not Darla. Darla is my girl dog. Thi swas her site, until I decided to go non-anon and add my photos.What else? I'm pretty easy to get along with - but do, truly, have little tolerance for ignorant or petty people. Most of the time no one would ever guess that, as I'm not an asshole about it or anything, but I am always thoroughly amazed by the antics of these sort of people. You'd think I'd be over it by 37 years, but, I'm not - in fact, it may be getting worse. So, Anyway...If there's anyone I want to meet on MySpace, it's you 'normal' sorta people out there who share similar interests and can hold an intelligent dialog -- MySpace should NOT constitute the majority of your "life experience". And really, if you can't attempt grammar or manage a paragraph return in your email, just forgetta'boutit. :-)Oh yeah, IMPORTANT NOTE: Again, Darla is a DOG, so if you expect ME to answer your email, please don't write to my DOG. She's super smart, but types waaaaaay to slow and can't spell for shit. You'd be disappointed by her reply to you.

My Interests

Broad range of interests. Depends on what day it is, where I'm at in the world (literally), what my mood is and/or who I'm with. I'm a pretty WYSIWYG person - Not too complex to figure out and not shallow enough to make it that easy for ya ... Some of my top interests are:

I'd like to meet:

Umm... 'real', down to earth, fun, intelligent people with similar interests, but have and do their own 'thing' and hold few hang-ups. People who don't have to be "on" all the time. I joke about being a, or hangin' with, drama queen(s) (and kings!), but seriously folks, I pretty much FUCKING HATE DRAMA. They pay actors for that - so unless you really are an actor -- and I know which ones I know -- are you listening? Two of my favorite quotes:

Music:

Avid music consumer. Dig ALL kinds of music in ALL genres: new, old, bad, good, rock, roll. 1680, 1780, 1880, 1980's and beyond! (Don't tell me the 80's SUCKED?!) I like to watch music as well as hear it -- and have seen too many shows (at too many venues whose names are all now changed to the name of the company that sponsors them...) to list!

Many, but not all. Old & New. Any period, renaissance, "mafia', drug lord, bio, indie or arthouse pictures. Intelligent scripts - unique ideas - I can't get into too sappy a story or gross-out comedy.

Television:

Got DirecTV - and funny thing, I still watch the same old crap. But at least my guests can watch what they want. We still know how to have fun without it:

Books:

All kinds. Art books to smut novels, to crosswords, trivia, travel, maps, history, music and Shakespeare. (Don't forget the occasional $3 gossip rag and marketing trade magazine (have to keep up on my game!))

Heroes:

I have great respect for many -- for small and large things/ thoughts/ actions.
