Mashonda was first heard on albums like Noreaga's 2002 release
"God's Favorite" and Swiss Beatz's debut from the same year, "G.H.E.T.T.O. Stories." Since then, she's appeared on tracks by Jay-Z ("Girl's Best Friend"), Cassidy ("Get No Better") and Eve ("I Got A Man"). At this point,Mashonda is signed to Swiss Beatz's very own Full Surface Records (along with Cassidy and New Comers Bone Thugs N Harmony).
January Joy is the debut album by American singer Mashonda, released international in November 2005 (see 2005 in music) via J Records. The album features tracks, produced by Swizz Beatz and Kanye West, including two singles: "Blackout" and "Back of Da club".
