About Me
The present official flag of the Philippines. Our flag truly expresses the sentiments of the Filipinos' struggle for freedom, equality, justice and our noble aspirations under the Spanish colonial rule. The red band is for the willingness of the Filipino to shed blood for his country; the blue for unity and nobility of the Filipino people; and the white equilateral triangle for equality among all men. The eight rays of the Philippine Sun symbolize the first eight provinces that joined the Revolution to fight against Spanish injustices and for the Philippine's independence from Spain. The star on each corner of the triangle represent the three main geographical divisions of the country - Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.To see how many filipinos are out there so if your filipino please feel free to add me in. and for all the past members out there WELCOME again to filipino connection...:)
