Jake Sigal, (DJ SGL), moved to Detroit, Michigan in Apri to assume the position of product marketing manager for Delphi consumer electronics. Specifically, designing XM plug and play devices found in US and Canada.

Formerly, Jake held the position as product development manager for Numark (Cumberland, RI) designing DJ and professional audio equipment for the leader in industry. Jake is listed as an inventor on the patents for products including the iDJ (worlds first iPod DJ mixing console), iTTUSB, worlds first and only USB enabled turntable for digitizing vinyl directly to CD or MP3, as well as various other industry leading DJ and professional audio products.

Prior to Numark, Jake held a position as an industrial engineer in product development at Stanton Magnetics, another leading DJ equipment and phonograph cartridge manufacturer located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Jake began mixing music in college while working towards his engineering degrees and decided to combine a passion for music with his career. Jake has performed at various clubs throughout Miami, Boston, and Las Vegas. Now in Detroit with a full time career, he currently holds a residency the first and last Saturday every month at Sakana, a smoke free sushi lounge in Ferndale, MI.

While working on the iDJ for Numark last year, Jake began working with Apple Computer in Cupertino, CA on the project. At that time iTunes announced the podcast concept and Jake quickly jumped onboard and launched his own weekly house music podcast. As one of the first in the market, the SGL House Podcast quickly spread all over the world and at the time was listed as the #1 rated iTunes house music podcast in the world.

Jake continues the podcast as a promotional tool and a good way to keep in touch with friends and business associates abroad, providing the latest and greatest to work out to, drive to, dance to, or just get up to speed on the hottest house music from around the world. Though other larger artists have taken the reigns of the podcasting world, Jake still receives promotional copies of unreleased tracks to “drop” to the world.
