About Me

Unless you're this guy, you don't stand a chance!Born and Raised in the frozen depths of Kapuskasing, Ontario (2 hrs north of Timmins approx)I learned quickly that it is a horrible place to raise a child! At least, it was when I was growing up. Nothing to do, no where to go, everything is frozen or covered in mosquitoes as large as birds. To pass the time, kids break the law, get high, and get pregnant. (I have no kids, and have no criminal record...)When I was in high school, Kap had the highest teenage suicide rate per capita. That makes me a survivor I guess. In '96 I moved to North Bay where I lived for several years building my career as a stylist and working at Wylders Music Hall/The Zoo Night Club.I eventually found my way to London, Ontario by closing my eyes and pointing at a map. I've been here since. I spent 5 years as a stylist before I finally got fed up of the constant pain in my arms, hands, shoulders, neck and back, and the biggest pain of all: Snaky bosses who use you to make themselves rich while sucking the life out of you and making you feel worthless...I got sick of working my ass off for pennies, and the only thing I truely miss is the amazing clients I have been blessed to know along the years.I am currently working at the Ministry of Labour where I am finally getting paid well without having to hurt myself for it. I am finally appreciated by an employer. I am quite enjoying my job...and I even have my own office with a huge window looking over London. I miss my clients, I miss the creativity of hair, but I don't miss the stress and crappy pay and hours, and slimey bosses.I am in an amazing relationship with an amazing man who is the soul mate I've been waiting for my whole life. We met on MySpace (I know, lame..but true) and for 2 years we fell harder and harder for each other but tried to fight it and hide it because we could not be together. Until now...Good things really do come to those who wait! I never even dreamed it could be this good! What is current in my life? I: -Can't wait for my soul mate to move in less than 3 weeks. -Am seriously considering the purchase of a house. -Am madly in love and deffinately heading that route. -Am a well balanced girlir-girl/tom-boy. -Am definitely going to buy a new car soon. -Can NOT wait till summer!!! -Am putting a salon in my home.

A message from my friends:

Crohn's and Colitis are painful and unpredictable inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) that affect over 170,000 Canadians. There is no known cause or cure for IBD. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) was founded in 1974 with the mission to find the cure for IBD. To achieve its mission, the CCFC is committed to raising increasing funds for medical research. The CCFC also strives to educate IBD patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public about IBD.

In 2006, four young women (Misty, Jeni, Ashley and Jade) founded the GutRock Concert Series to raise funds for the CCFC. Starting with an Acoustic show in Kitchener-Waterloo, and a Rock show in London , our goal is to have GutRock Concerts all over Canada . With the tremendous support from Canadian bands, local businesses, and the CCFC, this goal is becoming reality.

But we can't do it without your help! We need your help to promote this event. Repost our bulletins. Post a banner or logo on your Myspace/Facebook/Livejournal/etc. Post flyers. Tell your friends. Tell random strangers. But most importantly – show up! And bring lots of people with you!!

My brother for
putting up with ME as a big sister!
Most of all, my parents..especially my mother! For having me at the tender age of seventeen. For making the choice of motherhood instead of high school dances, rides in cars with boys, girls nights out and slumber parties, prom, young adult life...so I could have those things. For working 3 jobs just to put food in my mouth, clothes on my back, and a roof over my head... and still having the energy to read a bed time story every single night and tuck me in, and then get up with me every morning! For accepting my choices, no matter how badly some of them may have hurt you. For telling me you're proud, even when I've failed. For going back to school all those years later, and owning your own business! For keeping our family together through all the hardships and struggles. For having the courage to do all this, AND teach me how to drive! (kudos) I love you MOM!

Where the F is Christmas??

I drove Doug around London to show him the city and we were very sad to see that there were a sickening amount of houses without any decorations. If one in 20 houses had a decoration, I'd be surprised...
