Ritchie Paul is a true Urban specialist. He is an exceptional young talent and has many achievements already to his name. The unique music styles that he plays and the way in which he plays them, is an experience not to be missed. At the age of 15, Ritchie brought his first set of turntables after being inspired by the mixing talents of local DJ's: Kid Fury and DJ Kim of Oxford FM's ''Phat Club''. Ritchie's mainstream DJ influences at the time were the likes of Chris Goldfinger & Tim Westwood (BBC Radio 1) and Ronnie Herel & Seani B (BBC 1Xtra)Ritchie's first major break into the industry was in the spring of 2005 at Oxford's James Street Tavern, where he played Hip-Hop every Saturday night. In the summer of 2005, he was then approached by Oxford's well known and established, Kiss Bar. It was here that Ritchie played Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae every Friday, which then lead him to an appearance on the annual ''Summer Cruise Boat Party''.Since the start of Ritchie's journey to become a professional DJ, he has never forgotten the fact that there is always something new to explore, and the only way is up.Shortly after joining the Kiss Bar Team, Oxford's largest night time attraction, Lava & Ignite Nightclub, approached Ritchie to become their new urban resident DJ. This move has also lead to Ritchie securing his residencies for Feeling Funky & Urban Jukebox.Aged 21, and already having played alongside the likes of Tim Westwood, Boy Better Know, Chris Goldfinger, Mikee B, DJ Luck & MC Neat, The Kray Twinz, Artful Dodger, Shaun 'Banger' Scott, Da Ill Kidz, Jamie Duggan, DJ EZ, Heartless Crew, Rampage, Ace & Invisible, MC CKP, Robbo Ranx, Spoony, Dr.Psycho, L.Man, Trevor Nelson, Soulja Boy, Stone Love, Tony Matterhorn, Cameo & Jodie Aysha, aswell as being head of the Atlantic Records Street Team in Oxford, plus set to release a string of mixtapes followed by a compilation album.
