Born in 1973, passionate about music from the age of 10, starts out as bassist and begins his musicial exploration with acoustic groups styled blues, rock and funk. By the beginning of the 90's Basephunk had discovered electronic music and developed a real passion for deejaying. Based originally in Strasbourg region of France, he is closely linked with club nights of electro, nu-jazz and broken beat known as `Mixture' and `Desertik'.
Basephunk is an eclectic Dj.. playing Funk, Soul, Hip-hop, Afrobeat, Deep-house, Nu-jazz, Broken beats and wathever when it comes from the Soul!...
Now resident in Paris with various club residencies in the city like the famous Cithea Club, after realising 3 remixes for Omar Sosa, Colorblind and recently Nutropic, as well as continuing to produce his own album tracks.
