Noted as the 2nd best band in Portland, 8-FOOT TENDER stems from Long Beach Legends such as The Humpers, Falling Idols, Busface, and The Charms. Since the Spring of 1994, 8 Foot Tender has kept music lovers coming back for more. Why then, may you ask, have I never heard them before? Well heres your chance to see what happens to 4 of the finest musicians hailing from the So Cal area, when they are transported to Northern territory.
Jeff Fieldhouse (Suicide Kings, The Humpers) L.A./ Long Beach

This is the kind of rock music you never thought you'd need...until you hear it.-Mike Rophoné/Backseat Beat, April 1994
REVIEWS OF SOME 8-FOOT MUSIC:

Disc: Chicken Shakes
"Rock n' Roll...This is a damn fine album. Now a days alot of people can't see (or hear for that matter) a good band when it's right in front of their face. If you're tired of being spoon fed your rock , try a bite out of this 8-Foot Tender...and no, it don't taste like chicken! This band will lay the law on how it is and always was, and will not compromise anything in the name of FUN. Before you buy little Timmy that NSYNC disc, let him choke on a little 8 FT, at least that way he can grow up and be outta your house by the time he's 18."
"Oh My God It's 8-Foot Tender! I'm listening to this record as I type.(for the 50th time)Although the production on this disc is low-fi in comparison to their live show, it still rocks! This stuff is just good old snotty, dirty rock-n-roll featuring the likes of ex-Humper Jeff Fieldhouse and old-world-craftsman Saul Koll. There's a little Humpersesque feel to it but it also reminds me of Dead Moon with some Johnny Thunders sweeping guitar. The best track is without a doubt "Cry Baby" but it's also hard to deny "Glen's Pants". I've been a fan of these guys for years and so should you. Buy this disc now you won't regret it (unless,of course, you like your Rock gutless and boring)."
Gearhead Magazine - Spring/Summer 1997 / Bruce Saltmarsh
8-Foot Tender is about to emerge, featuring Jeff Fieldhouse (ex of The Humpers). As far as their cassette goes, I'll have to quote my (drunk and retarded) wife, "Rock, rock, and then this shit fuckin' rocks. Nothing else matters, this fuckin' shit rocks."
Willamette Week - September 1995
"...an up-and-coming [band] dispensing punky power chords and fuzzed-out pop. Elemental tongue-in-cheek, 8-Foot Tender has one mode: fast and furious."
"very cool dirty loose R n R. Like a lucky shake of the dice after too many free shots at the craps table. Pretty fun." S.S. 2007
