Nashville, TN has been nurturing a budding rap scene in recent years. With the success of regional artists like Haystak and the national recognition and record sales of Young Buck, the area is receiving attention as the next place to be. Already known as Music City, independent artists and record labels have flocked to Nashville for the next renaissance of urban music. La Familia Del Sol Entertainment & Latino Saint (owner) is answering the call for independent MCs and rap artists all over the Southeast and Midwest to showcase their skills and network with urban music industry executives, bringing dreams a big step closer to reality for a select few.The Southeast MC Battle Royale III will be held on March 22, 2006, at Bar Nashville in downtown Music City. The Battle Royale is a chance for freestyle rappers to show off their skills against fellow artists, in a tournament-style competition resulting in a winner-takes-all finale. The grand prize winner will receive thousands in prizes and promotion including Sony Acid Pro 5 software, PCDJ music mixing software, custom audio production, recording and mastering of a demo single and worldwide digital distribution of that single and more. Other sponsors include Concrete Magazine, 360 Customs, Concrete Gear Clothing, Trew Audio, Experimental Division Nashville, Mecca West Music, and Hottrackz Music.
The rounds of competition will be determined by the audience, with the final round determined by audience and guest celebrity judge scores.
This event is also an opportunity for music industry executives and industry players to network and exchange information for future projects and collaborations.
