...You mean besides art, music and literature?
Just getting out and doing something, whether its a nature hike through the woods, checking out a winery, or just going on a drive to nowhere. Sometimes its fun getting lost, as long as the company is good. ;)
Creative people: musicians, artists, writers
Anyone with an interest in metaphysical spirituality
Someone to have a intellectual conversation with
Anyone willing to joke around
Those who have similar interests.
People who enjoy my works.
Gaia, Allah, Yahweh, and all the others - I've got a few choice words for them! ;)
I am looking for positive influences I can call friends.
IF YOU SEND A FRIENDS REQUEST, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL AS WELL. I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE PERSON BEFORE JUST RANDOMLY ADDING "FRIENDS".
..
I'm a rocker at heart, but I enjoy all music.
Rock, Jazz, Blues, Top 40, House, Rap, you get the drift...
Pearl Jam, Doors, Collective Soul, Pantera, Ozzy, Andre 3000, Snoop, Eminem, Tori Amos, Jack Johnson, Sting, U2, NIN, Ministry, Type O Negative, Gary Numan, Tenacious D, Mother Love Bone, The Cult ...yeah this list can be a lot longer, but I'm tired of filling this thing out. :p
Lets see, as of recently I've been jamming out to the sounds of Ben Harper, Paolo Nutini, A Fine Frenzy - those three have been in heavy rotation for the past few months.
I have a few songs uploaded to MySpace Music at http://www.myspace.com/russmcintosh if you want to check them out.
Movies that make you think
What Dreams May Come, Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Memento, Fight Club, Dark City, Donnie Darko, Matrix, Vanilla Sky, Butterfly Effect...
I also love a good independent movie. And I will admit to having a guilty pleasure towards dramas (or chick flicks as some call them).
...I try to watch as little tv as possible. (There's a reason it's called the "idiot box.") On those lazy days though, I may flip through Discovery channel, History, A&E, PBS, etc.
I'm always reading something. Whether its a biography, fantasy, detective/mystery, etc or even if its the latest issue of Rolling Stone.
I've been reading a lot from Michael Chabon recently. And catching up with some classics like Master and the Margarita, Still Life with Woodpecker, and S. Morgenstern's classic The Princess Bride.
Authors:
Neil Gaiman, Orson Scott Card, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Anne Rice, Joseph Campbell, JK Rowling, Lemony Snicket, Poe, Asimov, again the list is too long...
If you see a piece of artwork in my pics section that strikes your fancy, a print of it can be purchased at http://www.zhibit.org/russmc
There are many more pieces displayed on that site than I have posted here on MySpace. Browse around, I'm sure you'll find something you'll like. ;)
