About Me

Sarcastic, I like to think I'm optimistic but it's coated in such a thick veneer of uh, realism that maybe that doesn't come across at all...I enjoy reading books in seemingly uncomfortable positions, like upside-down. I try to SCUBA dive about once a year. I'd go more often, but it's kind of expensive and the NASCAR crowd is all over it in my part of the world. What the hell is up with that?I'm often described as intelligent by other people, but I can usually dissuade them of that notion if I try hard enough...If you're bored and whatnot, you can contact me via .. lemanenon2 or on Yahoo!: guy_incogneeto2002 google talk: [email protected]

My Interests

books, games, movies, napping, running around with my awesomesauce dog: Gustaf the Stout, fucking shit up old school/new school/everything in between, writing scathing reviews of media that has dared to offend me, Drama

I'd like to meet:

Someone that makes 3 hour long conversations seem natural and fluid, without the uncomfortable, trailing off pauses and self-conscious, nervous chuckles. Someone with spark, that doesn't put up with my crap. And uh, no flipper babies.Random chat buddies are good too. I spend too much time in front of a computer, I'd at least like to pretend I'm being sociable while doing it.

Music:

Pixies, Ladytron, Garbage, Modest Mouse, Cake, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Radiohead, Beastie Boys, Her Space Holiday, The Octopus Project, The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Death From Above 1979, Built to Spill, Justin Timberlake, Postal Service, Jay-Z, Once Upon a Time in the West Soundtrack, Rilo Kiley, and so much more.

Movies:

City of Lost Children, Memento, Real Genius, Big Lebowski, Fight Club, Robocop, Aliens, Lost in Translation, Grosse Point Blank, Terminator, things with explosions and gunfire, Igby Goes Down, Metropolitan, Last Days of Disco, Kicking and Screaming, Wes Anderson stuff, Amores Perros, City of God

Television:

Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Band of Brothers, Futurama, Adult Swim, Mr. Show with Bob and David, Red Dwarf, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Arrested Development, The Office (BBC version, beotches), Dexter uh, and I'm sure there are more. But for real, Dexter and Arrested Development are the best things ever in their respective genres

Books:

Bret Easton Ellis's stuff, James Ellroy, A lot of science fiction, Douglas Coupland, Dave Eggers...yeah, I'm going to pretend this section is labelled authors and not books, William Gibson, Michael Swanwick, Nick Hornby, Dan Simmons, Greg Bear, Catch-22, David Mitchell, Alistair Reynolds, Gene Wolfe (best science fiction author alive/dead and maybe best American author period), H.P. Lovecraft, Iain M. Banks, David Mitchell...

Heroes:

Righteous Dudes

I have been doing a lot of thinking

New Frames

My new frames have been shipped.  I'm sure this was the only reason people were scared off by me.  I got a special blue highlight to distract from my "crazy eye" syndrome.  I think it j...
