Thw Howards helped to start the Pop punk scene in Springfield MA in the mid 1990's. Armed with some Ramones records,50's 60's bubble gum pop and no idea what they were doing Danny Dix tim Garceau and Jhawnie Howard wrote and performed a bunch of creepy psychotic songs about love life and the pursuit of happiness. Jhawnie left the group and after a number of drummers came and went The Howards were joined by Hutus drummer Stiv. They went on to record the acclaimed pop punk album Switchblade Rock and Roll, play hundreds of shows, wear the road thin all over the north east, and tried to rid the East Coast of its liquor one drink at a time. Like all good things it came to an end in the early 2000's. In 2007 prompted by several things but mostly the stroking of Danny's ego, the Howards started up again. The New Line up has Danny switching to guitar, Stiv back on the drums and Rat Fink on bass. Watch out The Howards are back and ready to rock.
