Appointed means to fix or set officially; consecrated according Strong's Concordance. So I was setup and consecrated to overcome drugs, crime, child molestation, child abuse, a gambling addiction and some other stuff that you'll have to hear "live" at an Appointed & Mic Won concert date. Put another way, before I was ever born I was created for such a time as this.Though my past includes a rocky path, "all things"(positive, negative, good, bad) have influenced my style of writing about my faith in God. My writing and singing are an expression of Who God has revealed Himself to be in my life. I know my sound is contemporary/urban but with a throwback in time twist.Back to my journey. After discovering THE CHRIST of the Bible (that's important) I joined a church where I worked with the homeless and in prison ministry where the desire to help others was birthed. Some time later I joined the church choir and started to "sang" for the Lord (right spirit, many bad notes). I like to say that my life began when I got saved, so Im singing catch-up to where others have been involved for years but that has not daunted my determination to "do the music". I believe that it is up to God, the Lord Almighty to decide my place in the music industry (thanks Stephanie).Currently Im working with my boy Mic Won (www.myspace.com/micwon), a rapper and were signed to Fly Away Records (www.myspace.com/flyawayrecords), an independent label with national distribution. Our project titled Spiritual Intent will be released this year.Music ministry homies weve worked with include Renee Spearman & Prez, Sackcloth Fashion, Cy, RedCloud, the Voices of Fulfillment, Jah Word, Minister RMB and couple of other folk we know but yall may not know.
