About Me
Harliquin has been producing events for the last 15 years. Upon moving to New York, Harliquin immediately realized his talents extended into the nightlife community. He worked on all levels of the nightlife scene, with roots as a go-go dancer he met many friends and nightlife impressarios that became the catalyst for a long-term career in event planning and theatrical direction. He has three major passions in life right now:
Gymnastics, music, and His Theatrical Shows
GYMNASTICS: Harliquin has been training with a professional Gymnastics Coach due to his love for the sport, art and especially its uses in amazing productions like Cirque De Soleil. He is currently training for the Empire State Games, and trains extremely hard every day to continue to push himself in ways like those he admires. Many people thought he was too "old" for a sport of such intensity, but Harliquin continues to prove them wrong time and time again. He was able to demonstrate his newfound talents during his most recent show, perfectly titled "TRANSFORMATIONS" in June of 2006.
THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS: Harliquin has had an extensive career in event production. Not only did he start out in the nightlife and music scene, he now works as a top hairdresser for "DRAMATICS" hair salon, which encourages art and theater as a part of the salon mentatlity. As the manager and theatrical director of the salon, Harliquin has alwasy been running multiple shows a year that feature elaborate costumes, hair, music ajnd showmanship. He combines his business side in event planning with his artistic side in creating a intensive Cirque De Soleil-influenced extravaganza.
MUSIC: His first hit was his dance single "Come on People", that took the New York nightlife scene by storm. Its funky drum and bass sound, mixed with poppy dance elements, were the perfect combination for the emerging clubs of the time. Harliquin has worked with many top producers, songwriters and DJ's, and recently released hit songs "Blow-Up" and "You're The One" and "Human Body". These songs have been featured in his theatrical productions and also out and about in the nightlife scene. He has performed live at high-profile venues and events like Webster Hall "New Years Eve", Roseland, Hammerstein Ballroom, Limelight, Tunnel. The World, and Gay Pride 2005. Their will be more music to come, and will continue to be incorporated in his productions. Harliquins music follows his view on life as A Celebration. His loves are music, hair, fashion, theater, gymnastics, drama, and good friends.
