Another Day Means More Opportunities

About Me

Yours truly is a highly motivated college basketball coach. I got into coaching basketball because of my love for the game and the challenges that the game presents. That was 12 years ago. This fall will be year 5 at the college level and the plan is to win a national championship someday. I want to experience the feelings that come with being at the top of your profession. In short, I truly love what I do and hope the ride never ends.I'm a very outgoing person who enjoys good conversation, even with people I've just met. As I get older I've come to realize the importance of taking "me time" every now and again. I work crazy hours so whenever I can rest and relax with family and friends I try and take advantage of that.Ultimately how I live my life is simple. The successes that I have had and will have are the result of one thing - hard work. Doing something halfway just isn't in my vocabulary.

My Interests

All sports, with basketball at the top of the list. It's what I do 24/7/365.And I gotta have my music. I used to DJ a little in college and I still like to go out when I have the time and enjoy a show.Las Vegas and Toronto are among my favorite destinations. Great spots to enjoy the nightlife.I'm also a golf junkie who keeps trying to break 90....one day it will happen!

I'd like to meet:

Anybody and Everybody...Funny, Serious, whatever. People who are passionate about something and enjoy life. I love people who are ambitious and who understand the importance of good friends, because they are hard to come by. I also travel a fair amount and it's always nice to know someone.John Wooden, Bob Knight, Dean Smith, Mike Krzyzewski, and other coaching legends.

Music:

Can't live with out it! I have the XM in my car and the IPod with me every day at the gym. I like just about anything...other then country that is. Rap, R&B, Jazz, House and Soul Music inparticular.

Movies:

The Departed, Wedding Crashers, Hoosiers, Jerry Maguire, Remember the Titans, Glory Road, We Are Marshall...and many more.

Television:

ESPN (College Basketball and P.T.I. in particular), Law/Order (all of them), Amazing Race, C.S.I., Lost, and Grey's Anatomy, among others. I also still laugh my head off watching Seinfeld re-runs. That ranks atop my list of best shows of all time. This is why I work an insane amount of hours and travel to random high school gyms across the country. This is what all of us involved with college basketball hope to experience at least once in our careers."ONE SHINING MOMENT" - 2008 NCAA TOURNAMENTBEMIDJI STATE VS. NORTHERN STATE - JAN. 2008

Books:

My most recent read is "Last Dance" by John Feinstein. It's a behind the scenes look at College basketball's Final Four.
